Enterbay - 1/4 scale RoboCop 3

I've never seen a single Enterbay accessory that was on par with HT. Headsculpts can be better, nothing else is. Look at the cheap, badly moulded junk that came with their 1/4 Batman? Likewise Joker. Even the hands and some of the key pieces are rubbish. I don't have the T2 stuff so can't comment on that but the idea of them doing an armoured body is just terrifying.


Fingers crossed, because I'm sure the mouth plates will look amazing..

I'd agree with difabio but I don't think it's all doom and gloom with them. They're coming up to par wi HT but it's the little details which sets HT apart from the other boys and what marks EB down.

I'd say it was the details where enterbay shines. I mean, how many goes did it take for HT's to get batman right, where they'd screw up cowl shape etc? I'd even argue HT's haven't even come close to capturing ledgers joker either. Both of which enterbay nailed first time.

At the moment, I'm more concern about the posability of the figure. It seems to be quite limited and owners' comments tend to confirm my fears.

I think it's a cool piece but it's just too much at £500. I bought their Battle-Damaged Arnie because it represented good value compared to Hot Toys. A better sculpt to boot. They should've lost all of these gimmicks and kept their price-point where it was. It's a pass for me unfortunately.

Hot Toys are their partners/distributors.

so after reading pages after pages its safe to assume the best way to get an accurate figure is for hot toys to deliver a great body and wait for enterbay to do the sculpt for the same fig and then sell the accessories not being used to try to break even?

No sorry I meant te details as in QC, the package they bring out, marketing etc. Should of been more specific! I can't fault their sculpting. It's the best in the business right now.

been quite a while since I was in this thread. I read that you guys been complaining about this figure, despite the figure. anyone here care to fill me in what's wrong with this piece because I've been thinking to pick this up if it's available. thanks

Enterbay's head sculpting may be over all more accurate but in terms of over all figure quality, you are having a laugh if you think Enterbay beats Hot Toys. Have you compared the EB Batman with the HT Batman? There is a love and care in the Hot Toys DK that is just not there in EB.

If you look at my reply to your original post carefully, I said I think EB are better at accuracy and realism but their quality is poor, thus, you are agreeing with basically what I said. If you followed my other post you would realize their poor quality is the reason why I am reluctant to buy their products, despite how much better I think their head sculpts and paints jobs are. When you said you didn't think EB would ever be better than Hot Toys I thought you meant in accuracy, didn't know you meant overall including quality. So when you take everything into account with quality, likeness and realism I would agree with the notion that when you buy a Hot Toys product you are buying a better quality product out of the two.

I would still take the EB bats over the HT one any day of the week though. Yes, I do own both.

The cowl sculpt is far more accurate and more life like than Hot Toys one that is for sure. So I can see why you would take that one over HT one.

Enterbays 1/4 figures have a very lifelike quality to them which is what i love about them on display.

Based on what's been said, the main thing people don't like is it has a "3" printed on the box :/

I see a killer looking and definitive looking weller robocop with some extras i won't use.

At first it was probably that but I think the main thing now that people don't like is the lack of blue tint on the Armor. It's just plain silver, but doesn't look too bad as far paint job goes.

Wow that's a big difference! These boxes are large so it would cost a fair bit to ship these but maybe BBST has including some of that in the price.
