Huh the wrist is articulated as it should you might want to Check the videos or other pics released.
The gun can be pointed straight. There are goofy poses in some pics, i m not going to blame that on the figure.
As for the slight gap you re exagerating a bit but if its a deal breaker for you too bad :)

Edit: lol well that positivity did not Lasted long ^^
Comparing 3/4 movie pics to a straight front shot of the figure helmet?
Dont get it really.

This looks like a 3/4 pose to you? Maybe we have different ideas for what is a frontal head photo then:

As EB helmet shape is wrong it is difficult to compare. If you take a frontal shot of the original helmets both ear discs can be seen. The sides on EB are too parallel . Maybe this one pic has the head turned 0.5 degrees more. Still notice the jaw protector is too square. Chin protector wrongly shaped. I can understand pleople have not the same concept of accuracy, I have worked as a model builder for year and my eye is really sharp.

olbertfrog, I have been looking all the pictures for one with the straight arm and the gun pointing forward, but I have found none. If you please would share one I'd really love to see it. I rather be wrong and not having to complain on the lack of accuracy as I was really looking forward to this figure.

EB did not care, you don't care. I do care. Freedom of speech, freedom of thought, I don't think that is an issue.

Well he did work as a model builder so his eyes are sharper than regular humans ;)

Yep the picture you posted of the helmet is not a front picture.
Front would mean you would see the exact same thing on both sides.
We dont in that pic you posted.
Maybe not 3/4 tho.
Now i do agree the chin armor looks too square but it does look like in the movie in other positions.
So... Dunno yet.

As for the wrist ive seen it down and up in a few pics, try to find those, or even in the video review.
So im not worried :)

Now im not saying its accurate, im not as ocd as some on some aspects, but im ocd nonetheless and that figure does the trick for me. I m perfectly fine with those who are not satisfied :)

It's an 18" Robocop FIGURE. No one gives a **** if his chin guard is 1/56 of an inch off. Pointing out inaccuracies is one thing, but you're taking it to a whole other level.

Come on guys , he s got the right to express his views.
Its not accurate enough for him, fine, if it is for you thats whats important.
And on a sidenote its comments like his that got us to get more and more accurate stuff over the years.
So its cool.
Relax we re all amongst friends here :)

As funny as marindinacc's posts are, he has a point in fairness. I just checked Hot Toys version and it looks a hell of a lot more accurate... Arghhhh!!!!!! I want it, I don't, I want it, I don't......I'm not usually an accuracy freak but this one has me thinking hard.

Yes, I understand

^spoken in Robocop voice?

Yeah I'm passing on this for sure. The new Hot Toys T1 T-800 has just killed any interest here. Need to save the money. The Hot Toys Robocop stuff will suffice to represent this feller in my collection.

Good observations. I'd say you're unquestionably right about the helmet band and the wrong shape of the chin piece.

I'd say the dome looking the wrong shape/height is a result of the incorrect band and that it and the width of the jaw sections (you say 'mandible protector') are pretty tough to tell due to the differing angles of the various shots.

Trying to regulate that and get equivalent views, you get the following;

I suspect what would be really telling is an overhead shot of the helmets to see any differences in shape when seen from above.

If what people are after is a figure that has the look of the film character, then I think both of these ably qualify. But these minor differences are of interest to some of us - as they are the things that collectors can spot from one item to another over the years. They're what we use to evaluate improvements in them and thus their worth to us as movie accurate collectibles vs. their asking price. Your mileage may vary :)

Excellent photo comparation alyd, seeing your pictured it seems the jaw protector EB did is based on Robocop 2 instead of Robocop 1. This part changed from film to film as it was rescuplted an even cast in different material and had a shinier look on Robo 2.

Jaw protector is definitely too square and that was only complain. This could be easily fixed though. If the faceplate is thin, you will be able to apply heat and mold it to make the jaw less square.
