BBTS has them yeah. It's a little extra but they pack my stuff well. So you can be confident it won't get mangled in the shipping process 98% of the time.

BBTS ships very well, and they pack extremely well, I alway buy stuff from BBTS but Liju might have problem as unlike asian ebay sellers they will NOT agree to undervalue the item... so be ready for customs hassle and a bribe

ths shipping alone comes to 130$ on BBts, and customs another 150 extra most prb
not worth it

US dollars? Wow.

BBTS does mark things as gift though don't they? That kinda helps with importing prices, well at least I think it does over here. I'm still waiting for a time to release my 'Pile Of Loot' for the first time with them :D

i dont think they mark items as gift or undervalue them, thats the reason i dont buy from them

I went & checked. BBTS definitely can mark things as gift for international orders. If you login to your BBTS account .....

- Click on "My Account"
- Click on "Change" under "Account Settings"

Then you will be given this option:

Customs Declaration
Would you like all orders to be declared as gifts?
(Applies to international orders only)

- Then check "Yes" or "No"

:D

Edit: Also, they are required to declare the full value of the products purchased on all customs paperwork. So declare as gift? Yes. Undervalue items? No.

How does that work if the item is lost or damaged? Does the buyer loose out at all?
Thank you please!

its just that i like my figures boxes in mint, specially hot toys , ..enterbay too, not to concerned about boxes of other stuff like sideshow statues or neca products.. the problem i never had problem with hot toys being shipped from US , always reached me in fine condition mostly from CSC in US, i tried buying 3 hot toys from Singapore and Malaysia, and several other smaller fig from japan HK, almost everytime the boxes were opened crushed and ruined ,it didnt matter for most of the time but was disappointed when it happened both times i ordered hot toys from Singapore, the first was iron man mark 4 , which box was opened and damaged, i bought a second off ebay from US without any problem, more recently i dished out nearly 700$ for 2 hot toys appleseed figures in mint condition, and after all the instructions and pleading to pack it well, it still reached me completely ruined , cant describe how devastated i was,
the thing is this happens only when im getting items shipped from asian countries! so i probably would like a seller who can double box it well enough and understand my problem, cant spend another 450$ to get a ruined box
pic below , the top box contained the appleseed fig from singapore while other came from US , (csc and sideshow)

TBH I bought the Pred Classic from SSC and I was shocked to see they only sent it in the HT brown shipper and nothing more. The packaging was all dinged up. I expect better from them...
My point it, buying overseas is a lottery no matter how reputable the company

Isn't falsely declaring an item as a gift against the law? Seems strange that a company openly offers it as an option. I mean their shipping tape has www.BBTS.com on it. Anyone could check up and find out that they're a business. What business actually sends gifts to people?

Why are you posting a Miley Cyrus GI-....oh I get it j/k :lol

I'm not going to report them, I was just wondering if they had some special exemption from the law or something! I mean it seems like they could so easily be caught out on that, I'm amazed if it hasn't already happened

It doesn't even make a difference, we still get charged the customs fees. Writing it off as a gift changes absolutely nothing maybe thats why they are allowed?

I can't recall if I ever tried the gift option with BBTS but I would only bother with it if it averted customs fees. If it doesn't even do that, whats the point from our POV. Perhaps the fact it doesn't stop customs fees being added IS BBTS being found out on it...though if thats the case no action is evidently being taken against them for trying it.

Im not sure about ireland but in england if you select gift then the VAT threshold gets higher to £36 I think. With the threshold being lowered to £15 in April Im not sure how that will affect gifts. In the case of collectables it wont make any difference unless your buying the likes of NECA which are less then £36.

I don't know if they are breaking the law, but I was kinda counting on the "gift" thing, for Kotobukiya's Magneto. Without the "gift" option, I think the shipping cost for the Magneto statue will take me over the "no import fee" limit here where I live.

I actually cancelled my Magneto order with BBTS, & plan on pre ordering it again later. I don't want the statue to become part of my 'Pile Of Loot' now, since I want to keep my orders under a certain amount, to avoid import fee's.
