You guys! You have GOT to see it! Best movie I've seen in a long time. Just a wonderfully entertaining, well acted, revenge story. SO good! Better than sex. Then again, my sex ain't that great. Oh well.

lol. Gotta love it

I over did Pulp Fiction as it was my favourite movie for a long time :lol

In reality Pulp will probably be better :lol

My favourites are Django, Pulp, Reservoir Dogs and Inglourious Basterds

This isnt QT's best by a mile. Not even close.

I think that it is awesome a hell of a lot of fun and my fav movie of last year. But ever since Kill Bill QT's style has not deviated, his recent movies have almost become a parody of his movies in general, the over the top outlandish stylization is a little overplayed in his new movies. Pulp Fiction was a nicer blend of subtle 70's nods without overdoing it and the plot and characterization was far more diverse. In fact Kill Bill, Inglorious Basterds and Django Unchained are all more or less the exact same plot. Bloodbath revenge stories. It's a simple tactic, far too simple for the likes of QT. He has a lot more ingenuity in him than that. I kind of wish there was not yet ANOTHER one of these to follow as his next film, Kill Bill 3.

That being said I think Kill Bill 1 and 2 might be his best work, both parts are so different and compliment each other so well, they also embody the best of QT in every way.

Please don't forget his writings. People tend to only look at what he has written and directed.

True Romance is one of my favorites and please don't overlook Natural Born Killers (he penned the story).

As much as I love all of those films, I have to agree.

I thought Kill Bill 3 was (probably) a no-go, though. Is there more recent, promising news?

Apparently it has been green lit and Thurman is on board, they are in per-production now.
Will they FINALLY now release this special edition DVD that is only 10 years late? LOL

Wow, awesome news! I wonder if he's still going with the (shocker) daughter revenge angle, I know Uma was enthused about it a few years ago.

Yeah, just saw Django a couple days ago. Needless to say it's a crazy funny bloodbath that never got boring to watch.

Quentin has a gift for characterization and Schultz, Candy and Stephen were all mesmerizing. The Mandingo racket, however fictitious it may have been, was a perfectly infuriating tour of the evil of slavery in the States.

The primary weakness unfortunately was Django himself. I should say comparative weakness because he wasn't bad, just not as strong as the other characters. The violence was cartoonish in parts: they way he took out Candy's sister felt like white people pinball lol.

After the credits rolled (did you see the post credit scene?) what stuck out to me was the sick relationship Candy and Stephen had and the impenetrable sickness of the soul that was slavery in this country. In light of this evil, no amount of gunfire or swagger could really exorcize it. Django might have been enough of a hero in the movie but he can't help but pale in comparison to the real heroes of the abolitionist and civil rights movements.

Wow! It's about time lol! Glad to hear that it's in the works.

Wish this was bigger but this was the only size I could find. I Think Django's pants should be darker but overall not a bad looking figure.

I think I spoke too soon on the kill bill thing, I heard it was green lot in October 2012 from a friend who art directs some of the Weinstien pictures about that time imdb had it listed with Thurman attached. then I felt Inspired to follow up and apparently in December QT said in some interview or might not ever happen,

Who knows though maybe its just something got derailed or he was pissed that day. I know that parts of a script has been written and some location scouting was done among other things.

I only just managed to see Django last night. Can't stand the Calvin sculpt. It's not the expression I associate with the character at all. One of those times where I'm curious to see what EB might have proposed and what was knocked back by the talent.
