for all they saying I am happy about banned release let's read my first post about the news of it... post # 768...

"I got a bad new the figures has been deleted from EB due the probelms of the racist contents of the movie...
it is a really shame...but true... "

at the end i got another news (but I don't know if this is really true :monkey2)
I have spoken with my trusted confident hk seller and he said..
the figures will be release only in china and Hk...no USA, No europe, he don't know anything about australia..I really hope he is right...
but the vanished pics from fb page and eb site don't feel me good...

If these do end up being offered in China/SE Asia only I can still see them being sold out. I hope this is the case, it'd be a shame for EB to take a financial hit from this controversy.

I know, but it truly improves my experience on this forum.

That was what I initially thought could be the worst thing that could happen. But not selling these in Europe and maybe Australia too? Why would that be? I thought the controversy was in the US only?

Anyhow, I'm still waiting to hear an official statement from EB before I can forget about these figures. As I see it though, they should have heard about these rumors (or truth) by now and responded to them telling us what's the deal.

If these were only offered in Asia how would someone in the U.S. get them? eBay and Asian online retailers?

:lol yep - welcome to how the rest of the world often has to feed their hobby

Probably a case of not wanting to make a statement until they know exactly what the lay of the land is. Otherwise they might risk upsetting the apple cart if they're currently in talks with license holders etc.

in my opinion is better to wait for an official bill's news before placing an useless preorder...
I REALLY HOPE MY HK SELLER HAS NOT WRONG...
COOOOOOME OOOON BILL WE STILL WAITIIIING FOR YOU..:rotfl

wow...so it looks like these figures may not make it to the US...terrible...they obviously arent racist and depict a film that abhors slavery/racism. QT does a wonderful job balancing racial undertones (Leo Di is despicable/but awesome at the same time) someone claims offense and the project is off...typical US behavior.

May be its just Diamond that will not be carrying them as they are an official Enterbay distributor to comics and speciality shops.I know i never ordered with them as i never trust Diamond especialy Diamond UK to come through with them.

I really hope the figures will be banned only in the usa and europe, i am still waiting for another hk confident seller reply, finger crossed...

If they are only available in Asia / Europe they'll likely be a pass unless can get them directly from EB. Collector's will mark up the price and while I enjoyed the movie not paying ridiculous price to own the figures.

Agreed. If the news is that they'll still be released in Asia, I'll have a hard time considering that to be good news. I don't have much experience with things like this, but I'd imagine that the price for them will skyrocket. I LOVED the film and dream of the day that I can get a Django figure, but I'm not willing to go broke over it. Especially since I've already gone ahead and spent the money I was going to spend on Django on another figure. Maybe that was a little rash of me and I'll take partial blame, but when I'm told that my preorder has been canceled and that I've been refunded, I'm going to move on. I'm not the type to sit around and wait for "maybe"'s, especially when there are "definite"'s that I can jump on.

I remember earlier when the EB Kobe Bryant figure was being sold on EB's website, their was some fine print reading that it was not available to US customers, but I know they still sold to the US. Fine print seemed more like a legal deterrent, to avoid any conflicting licensing issues, or something.

This was close to the time when it was first released. Not sure what the problem was then. I think that's not an issue now.

Maybe that might happen with these figures.

NOT AVAILABLE TO THE US .....

But you can order if you don't tell anyone :lol

Yeah, I wouldn't worry at all if it's released "only in Asia". Blitzway didn't have rights to sell Scarface in the US, so they just sold it to their distributors in Asia, who sold it to stores in the US. That goes on all the time.

I think these are in fact cancelled, at least here in Canada. I work at a comic store and just checked our distributors site, and the figures' status are listed CANCELLED. Really upset about this, too bad.
