Why would people stop buying figures for any other reason than that the figures suck??? :lol

Deleting facebook comments is not a reason to stop giving a company business, but if that makes you happy, knock yourself out.

(1) Their figures really going downhill.
(2) Bad customer care can kill a company.

freedom of speech?? are you ____ing serious? give me a break man, it's FACEBOOK! people can delete you, delete your comments, or delete your mom at their hearts content.

If you get your panties in a wad over this kinds of things, i feel sorry for you. actually no i dont...it is pretty funny at how pathetic some people are though. :lol

I'd say ejecting the whiniest from their public forum will do more for business than letting them clot their pages with all that crap.

Thanks you for all your comments today / tonight.

Since I am not reading EB FB anymore, so I am done with this. My bad experience been shared here and probably I will move on to other toys. Bye folks and take care.

I can understand this from the POV of both sides. I am a moderator for a local forum here and recently I gave a member a stern warning because he was posting the same question in multiple threads and in the wrong section.

This member in question was repeatedly asking about the arrival of a particular item which was delayed (tsunami and supplier issues) which we have repeatedly explained multiple times.

Said member wasn't satisfied with the explanation and was posting all over the place about it. I step in as a moderator and did my job. Take note that I did not even delete his posts yet. I just gave a warning.

Long story short he went on into a multiple page outburst about my conduct and how I am a nazi and gestapo and a killer to free speech and at the same time demanding that my superior explain my conduct and threatened to file a complain with the company.

I did what any moderator will do in this situation. I deleted his post and lock the thread because he wouldn't stop posting despite my repeated attempt at asking him to drop the issue.

Again, long story short, I was reprimanded by my superior because he felt that my actions have cost the company. Said member really filed a complain about me being rude and all and said member said that he will never buy again from our store and will ask his friends to do the same.

I argued my case saying that he has clearly broken forum rules and was being a nuisance to everyone that actually wants to take part in a proper discussion with his multi-page outburst. Yet I was told that in doing so will scare away members and soon our forums will be empty because everyone will be afraid of the nazi moderator who goes around deleting people posts.

I felt that I did what I was supposed to do and that is protecting the company reputation. The member felt that he was heckled and picked on and was denied his right to ask questions. My superior felt that I have damaged our store reputation instead because an unhappy customer means a lost for us.

I am still unhappy about the situation but when you run a business, I guess the bottomline is all that matters.

In EB case, if in censoring will help them sell more BL, I guess it's the right call.

I've always thought that those types of customers were thugs and that any company would do well to not accept their business in the first place. The more businesses denied them service, the less inclined they'd be to act like entitled little ____s.

But who knows. They could cry to a State Attorney General that they're being discriminated against on some basis or other, and then set the rottweilers on you.

You need to find a better job. :yuck

I'm sorry to hear about that, trigger. Sounds like your superior is a bit short-sighted to me. I believe that, in a business setting, you give a certain level of deference to customers. But the whole "customer is always right" entitlement BS annoys the crap out of me. There's too much entitlement and whining across the board in today's world. I see it when I go out to eat, when I go shopping, when I go to work, when I walk down the street, etc. Bah.

While I believe that all of this backlash stems from EB promising one thing, then showing another, I think that they can do what they want on their own site or Facebook page.

:lecture:lecture:lecture :exactly::goodpost: Time and again, all it does is empower these entitlement douchebags.

Problem is, everyone is taught to think they're special and deserve everything they want. But they ain't, and they don't :lol

And the cure-all...

There are admire EB messages constantly repeated over and over again, I don't see them be deleted. Only the criticisms to EB (even been put in a polite way) been deleted. W T F (copy your tone).

As you can see, my tone on here is totally different to the tone on EB FB!!

WTF to the WTF!!

My view is I dont want to delete everything!! At 1st EB said leave the comments, but when the comments got out of hand I acted...

End of story...

pfffft...they're toys. why do people get so bent out of shape over them? honestly, i read through this board everyday just to laugh my ass off at all the over critical "fanboys" who are ready to pop a blood vessel over trivial things like number of eyebrow hairs.

:lecture:lecture That is the exact reason I joined this forum. Its hillarious:lol

This is indeed a fun forum. During the SSF downtime yesterday I got my 1/6 discussion fix on OSW, and I tell ya... those folks are way too friendly, they don't have a complaint or bad word to say about anyone or anything. One poster even commented that they don't like SSF because of all the 'fanboyism'. You won't find any biyatchin' about Jack Sparrow's telescope, Spidey's boots, Bruce Lee's wrists, Indy's head sculpt or 1/4 Arnie's forehead on OSW. Take all of that out of the discussion and what's left to talk about? Any forum where I don't know whether the reply I'm going to get to my post is going to be congratulatory, stupid, hostile or belittling is a forum I try to steer well clear of. Fanboys FTW :rock

Its funny you mention OSW because I was wondering what that one was like yesterday when SSF was down. Now I know. Ive been here about a week and people have busted my chops, made fun of me and even called me names either to haze or just have fun. None of this bothers me infact Ive had alot of fun with it. Oh people have been welcoming too but its just cool to have a nice mix of people. OSW sounds boring. Too much nice can be sickening.
