Greetings from wonderful Hong Kong !

I arrived in HK yesterday after a 2 hours and 20 mins. + a 10 hour flight, and I of course just had to take a trip to Enterbay's store on my first day in which I saw with my own eyes the window display of this upcoming Game of Death 1/6 scale figure (same window display as pictured in this tread). Seeing this prototype (not the final version) impressed me enough to be sure to get this great release (I have passed on the 1/4 scale figures). Even the more serious head sculpted impressed me when seeing it in RL, though I have to say the smiling head just blow my mind (even on photos). Hopefully Enterbay will not do any changes which makes it less attractive than the prototype - but of course I would not mind if they make changes that makes it even more attractive and better !

I wanted to take some different angle shots of the figure today - but it was closed for some strange reason when I passed the store. But I will be sure to take some shots before I leave HK - or during my 2nd. stay next month.

Looking forward to your pics Gungfu. I just don't know about this figure. It certainly looks promising, but rubber bodies have a lot of concerns. Besides the limitations of articulation, I'm most concerned about how fragile it will be, especially considering the high high price. At $300+, I already know this one is out of my league, but still curious...

If it was not a rubber body, it would've been a easy purchase for me...

Mind you, I have no intentions of putting him in any dynamic poses. I want to have him standing, nuetral, with no bends anywhere, standing menacing as in some of the proto pics...

Yet I'm still worried about rips etc.

It is not as if the complaints and worries are unwarranted now, despite how much people want to defend them.

I'm not saying I hate them and want them to fail and ENTERBAY suck etc, but they certainly have a lot to prove after the past year's track record.

No, I didn't pre-order this one, and if it helps with your thinking I'll tell you why I am passing:

1) I am not really well off. I define a collector as really well off if they can afford to buy more than one of each figure. I have a few other figures to budget for at the moment.

2) I pre-order paid for the 2 MIS Bruces - this comes to around the same cost as the EB Bruce, and it sort of came down to a choice between 1x EB GoD or 2x HT MMS.

3) EB haven't revealed how their body is made. This annoys me, that a company with a history of QC issues and known to release final products that don't come up to par with the proto pics, is taking pre-orders on an unseen body.

4) I want a GoD Bruce, not a 'behind the scenes' GoD Bruce. In other words I want to pose him in his tracksuit - but that seems a wasted opportunity to show off what looks like being an awesome body sculpt.

5) I am willing to chance that HT will release a GoD Bruce (though I'd bet against this)

What it all comes down to for me is that I realised that all I wanted was a well-done GoD tracksuit. Sleeve-length aside, EB is the only option, as the custom tracksuits aren't up to par for me. And I thought, "Wow, am I really prepared to pay over 300 bucks just 'cause I want a tracksuit?"

So lots of interest in the tracksuit, zero interest in the props and diorama, moderate interest in the body (assuming added seams/joints to the proto pic) and moderate interest in either HS just doesn't add up to a buy for me.

I wouldn't worry about your local closing pre-orders - goodshipped are solid ebay sellers and they have it for $345 shipped. I think a few extra bucks is worth some more thinking time on whether you want to pick up this figure

Hmmm, now I see why didn't you PO this. Yeah, all are justifiable reasons..well said bro. Nonetheless, since I didn't PO the 2 latest BL from HT..will still think thru this since my one of buddy made me an offer that's difficult to refuse: He'll PO this for me & if ever the item already arrive he'll pay the rest of the balance and I could just pay him in deffered for 3 months.

I PO it from my local seller..and i'm from Indonesia... i guess i'm lucky to have lived, here since we've got good PO prices not just from Enterbay but from Hot Toys also...for instance i PO the HT smiling bruce lee for $130 shipped...

but it does has a trade-off though....i probably will receive the figure two months fro the release date....but i don't mind waiting for cheap price....

What do you think folks, for someone like me who does not have any inclination to pose him in a dynamic ways, and would just like to keep him in a neutral state with his track suit half off, like in the protos, do you think I'll have rubber tearing issues, as well?
