Can we get some action pose shots with this body? All I've seen is just standing there with the arms down at the side. Not impressive.
My guess is that he isn't that flexible and the rubber might split if he were in any dramatic action pose. That's my worry with this piece. Dunno if I'll pick it up or not. It's also pretty dang pricey! $$$

^^ Thanks for sharing those pics GungFu! Did you already PO this?

My pleasure Jayveeeusebio

Awesome pics GungFu!

I kinda hope they add some bruises to the normal sculpt as i want a change when i own so many Bruce Lee's allready.

Hi Rock83 !

It is not the final product - so I believe there will be some additional changes.

I think its the lighting thats making it look like that.

Also like they have already said 'The body is a prototype, joint dis assembly not yet done'

These are my thoughts also Axecutioner18 :exactly:

I'm wondering how they did the joints. Are they just metal flanges like HT's Rambo figures? Or are they actual articulated "joints" beneath the rubber. If it's flanges, we can expect breakage if posed too much.

Body definition is good but paint job is off.
Too white for me.

Go back and watch the GoD footage.
He was very white in that movie. Must more so than seen previously.

...and then when filming was cut short because of Enter the Dragon he showed up on that set browner than ever before.

The big difference between the two looks which were literally within a few weeks of each other has played some part in speculation about how sick he was leading up to his death.

(his weight changes dramatically as well in EtD and is visibly different in some scenes)

I'm just going to PO this piece...

BBTS or Enterbay, directly?

Id suggest BBTS, cause though they are around $50 more, you will get better after sales service and more importantly you dont have to pay anything now and can cancel easily if you think the final product isnt good enough (BBTS usually stocks much later than other sites and by that time pictures and reviews of the figure should be out)

BBTS normally are quite competitive with pricing. Not sure why they are so far off the scale with this one ?

Pre-ordered mine from Enterbay. Not worried about all the speculative worries one bit. It's a rubber 'coated' body afterall, which I suspect will be more flexible than a full rubber body. Kind of like the rubber sleeves that got some interest a while ago. The contractible biceps and abdomen have me intrigued. Way to go Enterbay. My Sideshow Creature of the Black Lagoon hasn't deteriorated in the slightest. I don't see why this would be all that different.

Hot Toys are so 2011 by comparison. Enterbay up the ante and Hot Toys respond. There's never been any competition between the two. That was all collector speculation. Hot Toys released their Godfather. Then Enterbay released theirs. Hot Toys crapped their pants and revised theirs entirely. Enterbay just went about their business. The competition is all one sided. So in that respect it is good for us collectors.

All the bad press Enterbay get for quality control doesn't come close to the problems Hot Toys products have had. It's just that people choose to overlook it but feel alright jumping on the bandwagon and hammering Enterbay. I've been happy with all my Enterbay purchases, aside from the ratched type joints some of their figures used. I've been happy with my Hot Toys purchases as well, besides from the ED-209 rubber and some of their Aliens.

Anyways, I very much look forward to another Bruce Lee being in my collection. :woo

:lol

Good onya 78M. You were one of the last people I thought would order one.

It's a good deal I reckon. The first GoD came with a environ and was $350 retail. This one is, again, innovative, comes with the environ, an extra head, the battle damaged jumpsuit, and revised eyeball system, and has an edition size stipulated. The extra accessories (movie equipment) maybe aren't everyone's cup of tea, but they are what they are. Accessories. And who uses all the accessories that figures come with? It's the same with most figures. Sell them off if they don't appeal. But that's another thread argument. My point is that it's $50 cheaper than what was released years ago. It's all in the attitude you choose to adopt.

Why would I be the last? Explain your reason for not thinking I would want one/purchase one? :D

LOL

Okay then. You asked for it. :lol

You came across to me as a bit of a Hot Toys fanboy. You know what I mean. Someone who can't think for themselves and makes decisions based on what the pack mentality dictates as being the status quo. Has an innate disposition to bag all Enterbay releases whether you have had any experience with them or not. Posts in a thread that you claim you have no desire for the product in question, or haven't anything positive to add in any case, etc, etc.

.....or maybe I've mistakenly added you to the piles that erupt in most Enterbay threads. In which case I vehemently apologise. :monkey3

Apology accepted...I calls it like I sees them. LOL. And people get rubbed the wrong way, as this place is like a suck-off fest at times.

Look, I cant knock eneterbay on this release. The sculpt looks sick, the price is pricey, and the body has many dubious outlooks for long term survival, but it sure is a damn fine piece.

Cheers. I'll take a more light hearted look at way I read your posts from now on.

Yes, it is pricey. Pricey when you look at your empty wallet. Then again it's cheap when you look at the extremely limited custom, Arnie for example, releases that command so much and, by todays commercial standards, aren't up to par, other than his amazing head sculpts.

I'll be acquiring the Hot Toys BL casual in suit, to add the nicer looking chair, and seek the other BL casual clothes and deck chair parted out. I'll probably be swapping this GoD's body over to have him in his boxing gloves and shorts, and using that body to have him in his battle damaged attire. That's if the parts happen to be swappable. We'll see.

I bit the bullet and pre-ordered off BBTS. The thought of passing up the chance of owning 3 top of the line Bruce Lee figures from 3 different genius sculptors was too much. However I went with BBTS to also have the chance to cancel in case it doesnt live up to my expectations when Enterbay show their final product...

I want more info about the rubber body before I bite. Don't want to relive the fears of early HT rubber bodies and given the quality of EB's bodies, it's justified.

I keep thinking there was more news about EB BL figure since this is a thread about that, but you guys keep bumping it with HT and Arnie Kim talk.
And don't tell me this is a discussion forum about figures, just go bump the right one.
