Wow. Is that the HT smiling BL HS? What happened to the eyes? Doesn't look like Bruce anymore. Looks kinda creepy. The EB one looks more natural.
It looks twice as good, but is also a bit more expensive :).
I expect a better result for that price. But that's just me..

Edit: i mean that the EB sculpt is a lot better that the HT sculpt, but i expect it if you take the price difference in to consideration..

Man those movable eyes thing is really bothering me, and if its a free rolling ball rubbing against free rolling ball eyes I have to say its a CHEAP GIMMICK which has been BADLY IMPLEMENTED... unless someone can GUARANTEE that the eyes can be made to move individually I will remain jittery about the figure...

I agree with you Tubes78. But the eyes on the HT looks completely different from the pre-release pics. I wonder why they changed it? I also noticed that they made the "smile lines" on the cheeks super angular. Looks cartoonish. I loved the sculpt before.

The eyes logically have to be individually adjustable during the production process and for QA. So I'm confident it can be adjusted by the user.

Them misaligned eyeballs seem to be a common problem with this 1st batch, hopefully subsequent batches will be corrected...hope I won't have to resort to prying open the mechanism to get them right.....this is why I prefer EB's older eye-system that gave better control.

This is ridiculous, a WHOLE BATCH manages to make it to public release with a GLARING problem LIKE THAT!! You gotta be kidding me! I have been waiting for this figure for so long, didnt listen to all the naysayers and Enterbay manages to prove me wrong?!

lol. I'm telling you guys - the eyes are adjustable :)

Also - the whole mechanism itself is pretty clever actually. A similar mechanism is used in robotics and also puppetry. There is just slight pressure between the large alignment ball and and the individual eyeballs to keep them rolling in sync. So if you need to adjust an eyeball - simply put pressure on that eye and you can move it into a new position.

There is no gear that is set once in the factory and if it is set wrong - we're stuck with it..

How tinister??? I would like to know

See my update to the post above Padrinno. I imagine you can also adjust an eyeball by applying pressure on that eye with your finger while moving the adjustment ball until both eyes are in the right position. Again - this is because the eyeballs are free to rotate 360 degrees. They roll freely within their sockets.

Care and Maintainance

The action body should be adjusted to the natural standing position and store at room temperature, avoid over-exposure to the sun and humidity. Long stretching of the plastic and high temperature may accelerate aging of plastics and causing cracks in the surface. It is suggest that the action body should not to have long-term contact with other objects (including the costume*), to avoid adhesion and staining.

In addition, please do not use your hand or any hard objects to rub against the rubber body, this might caused damage to the surface.

* The long term contact between the fabric and the action body may cause stained, this is a normal reaction when having fabric against the plastic materials.

Thx tinister!! seems to be a good theory :yess:

Looking at the scan of the user manual again - it looks like the rotation mechanism actually has two balls (four in total counting the eyeballs), but it's the same basic principle as I described before. No problem.

Yup. Only the Damaged HS has the eyeball system. EB has always indicated that this would be the case.

I don't know if it's just me, the lighting or the photo, but somehow it does not quite look as good as the earlier pictures i saw of the BD HS.
Especially the paint application...

the eyes are strangely wider in the final one. I guess to take into account the rolling ball system.

Thats a fairly big disclaimer....
