I'm waiting for my seller to confirm when my units are shipping. Then I'll post some good pics so everyone can decide for themselves. From the video posted earlier - looks pretty damn good to me.

Yeah i think the video made the head look good, but the hands dont look too great to me. Random i know. Still, the issues of the suit staining is a big of a put off. Although i would just keep the suit on anyway.

I have some reservations too. But you know - I have it for almost every figure that I pre-order. I'll have to see the rubber material on the body in-hand to better determine if there's anything to be concerned about. If it is the really spongey gummy latex that everything sticks to - then it's a serious concern.

The hands do look a bit large in the pics, but that's also something I'll wait to judge in-hand since photos often distort those kinds of things. I think a lot of people use the "Flower" mode on their cameras to take these pictures. Flower mode is great for closeups - but they distort the heck out of the view.

Once I get my figures - if there's anything screwey - I'll definitely post.

It's weird. Some of the official pictures - the heads look too big. But in the video - the heads look fine (as well as the length of the legs).

I don't know if it's just me, the lighting or the photo, but somehow it does not quite look as good as the earlier pictures i saw of the BD HS. Especially the paint application...

That's because..

Blurry pic or not, do NOT expect the sculpt to look like that proto... you're not going to get it. We've been through this time and time again... when will people learn?

:lecture:lecture:lecture

Prototypes are hand painted by a single, top level artist who takes their time to make it look as good as it possibly can for promotion, etc.

Finalized pieces, even if they're still hand painted are done so with as much care as you can realistically get on a production line. They can't take their sweet time, they have a deadline.

Prototype = Quality > Speed
Final Product = Speed > Quality

That doesn't mean quality is completely thrown out the door, it just means no company is going to spend days hand painting each individual head sculpt like a prototype.

I'm going to hold out hope for this figure and that it will turn out better than expected.

I gotta believe EB knows that their fan base is expecting this to be a top notch release, and any QC issues or other BS issues won't go over well.

If this release is deemed a failure I'd expect EB to lose a lot of it's customer base to HT permanently.

Originally, when the first prototype pics came out, without the BD paint application, i thought it looked nothing like Bruce. More like a chinese comic book representation of him.

It looked great at the exhibition pictures.

The finalized one, i feel the sculpt looks more like him the the early head, even with the ____ty pics.

Only thing is, again, the eyes look a little too big, and the eyebrows are a little too laid back. If you look at he exhibition pics, YJ painted them going up. I want my BD Bruce to look pissed and determined. Not a petrified "What the ____ just happened" look !

None the less... there are angles and eye positions to put him in to make him look better.
