the eyes look better in this pic, maybe thats cuz its Bill's personal set?? lol

He has kept YJ's proto with him which he displayed in Beijing and other exhibitions... even the painted damage on the suit is more accurate and better than what we the customers are getting. I spent a LOT on this set and if it doesnt turn out better in hand... itll be the LAST EB Im buying...

Bill claimed that all pics are the actual mass product, you be your own judge.

I've done my fair share of ragging on this figure, mostly in response to EB's misguided promotion of it. But I think you guys picking this up should take a deep breath and wait 'til there are more in-hand pics - I don't think it will be anywhere near as bad as some of the pics make out. This is another ill-considered move on EB's part, to not release any actual product pics but leave it to other channels to get pics out there via forums etc. This means that they do not get to assuage any of the doubts about this figure, which just keep growing and growing the longer customers and fans are kept in the dark.

Agreed. The pictures aeumuse posted above look good to me - and they look like the release figure. But nothing beats having it in-hand.

The more I see photos and the more I think about it, I'm most likely keeping this one. I think for the most part it's a few things that are causing some hesitation for others.
- EB letting shots get out that are bad angles, badly lit etc and they cause an uproar.
- People getting upset about not being able to pose rubber bodies permanently. Maybe I'm not as picky as I should be but in my mind the rubber bodies look great and I know that it's only common sense if you stretch rubber it will break down and most likely tear eventually. I have never, and will never pose my Leonidas with his hands up in the air. I knew what the figure was when I bought it, so he's posed accordingly. To me the rubber body thing is like saying "I bought this new car and drove it for a year without an oil change", sure you can do it, but it's not a great idea long term.
- Price. I struggled with this one but the reality is you're getting a very intense diorama with the figure essentially. Sure Hot Toys are cheaper, but if they each came with a backdrop, non character accessories and other props they might be higher too. I feel like the price is a -tad- too high, but I don't think it's far off from where it should be. You're not just getting a couple weapons, change of hands and head, you get the clap board, camera, huge back wall piece, and a folding chair if I saw one of the photos correctly?
- Visible joints. I see some of the arguments but I'm displaying mine with the suit on.

That's kinda where my head is right now. Not saying anyone else is wrong, this is just my logic for keeping my PO.

the pics aemuse posted look very inconsistent and extremely photoshopped specially the ones with the spotlight beside it and the last few where the Battle Damage paint on the face is quite different from each other...

But it doesn't make any sense for buyers to waste time to photoshop images?

I think what I like out of these pictures is confirmation that the figure looks much better posed than in the Ken Doll stance like in almost every damn picture up til this point. We know what the heads look like for sure now thanks to the video from earlier. Now we're starting to see the body much better.

These pictures also may be from a couple different collectors - with slightly different figures too.

The collar also doesn't look nearly as bad as from earlier pics.

I can't wait to get mine and show that the eyes can be adjusted so that they're not slightly off like in these pictures.

:goodpost::exactly:

Just like the Bruce Lee DX, if you pose that figure with the eyes looking straight ahead it looks awful. A pose and the slight turn/tilt of the head and shift of the eyes makes a world of difference. :lecture

Hmm Im disappointed, the Enterbay head looks toyish compared the the lifelike style of the HT releases... The paintjob HAS to be better if EB has ANY chance of capturing HT's premium quality. What sucks is that EB is consistently pricing its figures much higher... this set JUST isnt worth $300...

Is that your Thor? The figure with his helmet on looks awesome.

Nope. Had him pre-ordered but canceled him due to multiple flaws. Helmet on he looks good, but he pretty much never wears it in the film and there are other flaws in the figure that made me not happy with the final result.

An expressionless face often gives off that blank stare look, see Thor for example.

That's not what I meant. The pupils are empty, soulless. Thor's eyes have life in them if you actually had it in person. Ip Man's eyes are lifeless, I would know, I have it.

I have ordered an exclusive from him.
Thanks for the link. Cancelled my BBTS pre-order, not much of a price difference. Fingers crossed!
:)

Rorywan, please keep us updated !

EB's have big hair... otherwise the (HT & EB) smiling faces are almost identical in size.

Bruce did ofteh have big hair, which was also a 70's thing (look at my avatar) so it is not a mistake if that's what you mean ?

Man, I sincerely hope it looks better in hand... So disappointing after waiting so long for something like this...

Just to point out EB's and HT's head are comparable in size, just the hair making the difference. Switching heads should be possible between 2 companies.
