So Rambo arrived yesterday (along with MiB, which is another story). Phenomenal headsculpt, body looks great even with the ball joints. Question: is the skin covering slightly off the joints at the shoulders for everyone? Is there a quick fix, haven't tried futzing with it. I do wish they had offered a jacket as an option nonetheless. This absolutely blows away the PF, and makes EB a real contender in this space. I have the 1st Bruce Lee and am waiting for the new BD Terminator (otherwise would be picking the current one up). I'll also be preordering Joker as soon as it pops up. Sideshow is now facing some serious competition in the 1:4 space as far as common licenses are concerned and they will have to step up their game with pieces like Rambo and Bruce Lee. Too bad the price point is not lower for figs. It will now be interesting to see what happens with Hot Toys 1:4. Hopefully the scales will match up with EB 1:4 and HT 1:4 because the 1:6ers do not. This will make customizing easier.

BTW: Great Pics Maulfan! I haven't tried posing him.

can you post the pics around the shoulder and armpit area?
you can see my post from before (maybe 6 pages before this), that most of this product suffered from big gap.
I already emailed EB about this. Just want to know, what are they going to do about this defect :lecture

BTW maulfan, great shots and nice review. :clap
my rambo still sleep in his box for now. still waiting for my acrylic case to arrive:yess:

Got a tracking number!:rock Hopefully i'll have doll Rambo by the end of next week!:yess:

will be looking forward for tommorow.
hopefully there will be response from EB's customer service.
the hard plastic apparently become annoying because it hinders Rambo's arm movement when I tried to put the arm down after posing his arm horizontally with the bow :slap

wont be long til we see your Rambo Pics :hi5:

Yep! I can't wait.:yess: I'll have a few things to do before I take pics. The lights in my Detolf need to be re-wired to accomodate for Rambo, so that may take some time.

I emailed CS enterbay and got a response just now.
I don't think that is actually a QC problem because the shoulder is meant to be like that with the joint, I am actually asking my colleague to make you a video, so that it would be easiler to understand how it supposed to work and how to pose it to avoid too much of that gap showing.

Thank you.

Hey nightsurf, could you post the video when you get it.

I managed to close the gap on my Rambo, and i sorta know what the problem is.

The socket for the arm is slightly bigger then the shoulder. When it displays a gap, it is because the shoulder is leaning towards the bottom. This is esp. apparent if you have Rambo holding the AK, with just one arm, because its heavy, so the arm hangs low and the gap is prevelant.

If Rambo is holding something lighter or nothing at all, fudge it and aim to push the shoulder upwards into the socket and the gap will be closed. Yes, there will be a gap in the lower part of the socket, but it will be around his armpit area and not visable at all. Thats my two cents worth.

thanks stanlore, but maybe I'll just add a couple of pics.
the thing is, I can almost close the gap on his left arm but not the right one. his right arm is slightly loose (I can feel it if I shake his right arm a bit) the only way I can close the gap is by posing his arm up a bit.
I tried pushing his arm up inside the socket but, It didn;t work. but at least, I can get rid the annoying hard plastic :dunno

That's exactly the issue. You can push the shoulder upwards into the socket, but on a defective figure with a loose joint, the right shoulder just slides back down and out.

I got the same damn thing:

Thanks for your email. Actually it is supposed to be like that and it's not a QC issue. We will be uploading a video and explain more about this later. Will send the video to you over as well so that you could understand a bit more how it's supposed to work.

In all honesty though, why the hell doesn't MaulFan's figure have this problem? Why can he successfully tuck the hard plastic into the torso when mine feels loose? The right arm on my figure can barely hold a pose while the left one is perfect. Explain that, EB.

(I'm not angry at MaulFan, just using his pieces as an example)

I'll open a PayPal claim if I have to. It breaks my heart, but I may even try to send it back for a refund. This figure is truly amazing otherwise and it's a landmark as far as Rambo collectibles go, but if this is what I should expect from EB, there certainly are other places I could spend that $400 this summer. :( If their video is bull____ and the figure they use has perfectly tight joints through and through, I'll be pissed. And I won't be purchasing their 1/4-scale Batman either. $400 is a lot of money, this isn't like some old-era $150 HT figure where you can Krazy Glue the thing without feeling bad.

I've saved a draft of my response to EB's email and am wondering whether or not to send it. I'm not harsh in it, I simply explain to them specifically what the problem is (I know how to close the gap, the loose hard plastic joint just won't let me) and ask why the left shoulder is perfect and why many haven't had this problem at all. Do I send it now? What if their video is uploaded long after the return window expires (if there even is one)? Do I mention that I'm considering returning it? I love the sculpt, I love the accessories, I love the concept in general, but I don't want a broken figure.

Yeah, though the left more than the right, but the real issue is, the swivel joint that's inside the shoulder of the arm piece is pretty tight, so you kind of have to hold the hard plastic part at the pec/back and manipulate the shoulder slowly.

Good news, bad news, with T-800 and Rambo, I find EB's joints pretty solid/stiff, so I don't feel like they'll ever get loose on me, but I have developed a feel for the more gentle way you have to pose them.

I see. That's how I pose mine. I guess there are different degrees of looseness (some better than others), but why then should people be stuck with a figure that's very loose? Hrm...
