I got the same damn thing:
Thanks for your email. Actually it is supposed to be like that and it's not a QC issue. We will be uploading a video and explain more about this later. Will send the video to you over as well so that you could understand a bit more how it's supposed to work.
In all honesty though, why the hell doesn't MaulFan's figure have this problem? Why can he successfully tuck the hard plastic into the torso when mine feels loose? The right arm on my figure can barely hold a pose while the left one is perfect. Explain that, EB.
(I'm not angry at MaulFan, just using his pieces as an example)
I'll open a PayPal claim if I have to. It breaks my heart, but I may even try to send it back for a refund. This figure is truly amazing otherwise and it's a landmark as far as Rambo collectibles go, but if this is what I should expect from EB, there certainly
are other places I could spend that $400 this summer.
If their video is bull____ and the figure they use has perfectly tight joints through and through, I'll be pissed. And I won't be purchasing their 1/4-scale Batman either. $400 is a lot of money, this isn't like some old-era $150 HT figure where you can Krazy Glue the thing without feeling bad.
I've saved a draft of my response to EB's email and am wondering whether or not to send it. I'm not harsh in it, I simply explain to them specifically what the problem is (I know how to close the gap, the loose hard plastic joint just won't let me) and ask why the left shoulder is perfect and why many haven't had this problem at all. Do I send it now? What if their video is uploaded long after the return window expires (if there even is one)? Do I mention that I'm considering returning it? I love the sculpt, I love the accessories, I love the concept in general, but I don't want a broken figure.
