What other jersey is left besides allstars that will attract buyers? They still have a series 3 with a new HS.
Exactly. He's running out of options quickly. Can still see these:
- white 23 GR
- all star (4 versions)
- Bulls red pinstripe and rookie jersey
- Olympics (2 versions of Dream Team and maybe old one)

But not all of them would be as great.

2 rookies(home and away)

Can they use the Tarheels jerseys?

Not sure if people (anywhere) care about MJ anymore :D
Sneakerheads seem to just like the shoes, not the person (or action figure). And people who seen MJ play in his prime are probably 35+
Not sure how it is anyplace else in this world, but I get mostly frowns when I tell someone about these figures ("why would you want a doll").
And that's before they even ask how much they cost.

So true. :goodpost::exactly:

Nah, it's still a very limited market of people willing to pay $300 for an action figure.

They had a topic about these on a sneaker forum. Replies were mostly negative:

"That's pretty dope but cannot see myself buying "figurines"."

"I'm a grown man what i look like buying a damn "figurine"(Jordan doll) for my self even if its for collection purposes its still a dang doll with interchangeable parts...basically playing dress up *****"

"Wow those look sick. but i stopped playing with toys a long long time ago."

"They want a grown man to drop $200-$400 on a toy?"

"would cop for $50 not for a stack tho"

"so basically you are justifying buying a G.I Jordan doll...to each and its own. Ill just stick to buyin kicks"

"To each his own, but if one of my employees had a MJ figurine on his/her desk, I would ask where the Care Bear doll is."

"Sick detail. Wouldn't pay that much but they'd look nice in my study with my memorabilia"

They'd just feel embarrassed if they show positiveness towards a "doll" in a "grown up" forum.

Seriously what kind of adult would spend thousands to collect shoes that will deteriorate & when they hardly wear them?

It's not any more kiddy than collecting Basketball cards.

But i have to agree it's too expensive. I mean you can literally buy a pair of 1:! Jordan XI with that kind of money. :lol

From a normal person point of view i would say it's stranger to see a person pimping up the room with sneakers than a doll, at least a doll may look like a statue or furniture while a sneaker looks just like a, well, sneakers.

I bet many of them already preordered 2 EB Jordans, 1 for keeping & 1 for selling at a premium though. Understand most Air Jordan Collectors know what Scalping & Reselling at a premium is more than toy collectors since Air Jordan collection started way back.

And 1/6 aint a limited market anymore. It's probably the dominant market in Adult Collectibles. It's something like Rolex, people'd buy at least 1 in their lifetime if they had the extra cash & some people collect more than 1.

To each his own, indeed. Where their money goes depend on themselves, and their beliefs of which is worth it or not. I was a sneakerhead, and was a tech-gadget slave. I realized that high-end figures make me happier, and to me are more worth my money. My friends laugh at me for dropping $650 on 1989 Batmobile but are also laughing at me for not shelling out $800 for a new iPad that I firmly believe would only most likely be obsolete as the one I'm using now when another one comes out in 10 months.

Yeah exactly.

For spending alot of money on tech, you only get very short temporary satisfaction, cause it will eventually be obsolete very quickly. You got the Iphone 3? Iphone 3GS, Iphone 4? Iphone 4S, I phone 5... its never gonna end, and once the next phone or tablet comes out, 2 generations later, what you have is a paper weight that won't be worth 1/4th of what you paid for.

Those sneakerheads have their own opinion, but it sounds like all of them just have masculinity issues to me. Oh no... everyones gonna laugh at me buying a doll.... oh.. its totally childish and gay.. screw the little barbie Jordan. The fact they are "sneakerheads" or collectors of anything, means to a certain extent, they are a geek too. By the mentality placed on geeking over something they consider "cool", they try to justify their own hobbies by dissing others. Closet Geeks...

Im a sneakerhead, anything Michael Jordan is pretty much a purchase for me. The EB figures will proudly be on display with all my other Jordan and Chicago Bulls stuff

Well, I guess in general is people had to choose between:
- a new iPad
- 3 pairs of Jordans
- 1 toy doll

They'd choose the iPad 1st, sneakers 2nd and dolls last :D
They're all luxury items, but....

Most sneaker heads today are only buying Jordan sneakers for fashion and don't know anything about Michael Jordan. I would take their opinions with a grain of salt.

Sure, was just to show that even though Jordan sneakers are selling like hot cakes, doesn't mean the same crowd is into these Enterbay figures...

... but my money goes to where I could enjoy it for a longer time. It's not about what appreciates/depreciates overtime, but where the money I'd spend upon purchase would get more value for enjoyment and shelf-life (to me, of course) :)

But 1/6 are selling like Hot Cakes, so people who collect 1/6 while doesn't know much about MJ would also buy it because they think it's cool since it's from a well known company and sold at high price and "limited run".

It's a trend thing. I'm sure there are more people who collect toys than sneakers.

The gadget thing, i would say that if it's something you need to spend on buy it. I don't know why people kept upgrading their ipads & iphones when there's not much break through from the older gen other than the "cool" factor.

However if you happen to have a mint Nokia 8850 it's worth a fortune now.

Looking at the dimension, you should have made it tough enough so you can actually walk over it like a carpet. Maybe apply lots of layer of hard gloss when you finish it. Also i suggest you divide it into 2 piece which divides at the center & combine together to form the court with those male/female connection at the bottom.

Or better yet display it on the wall and make MJ do a fadeaway.

Update of my 1:6 court as of today

You missed the steady decline of the uebercool and expensive #45's?

well we are talking about the general release which is still limited & hard to get in many places. Any people who knows MJ will know that #45 doesn't bear much meaning.

but it was selling like pancakes when it 1st released due to the fact it was the 1st 1/6 MJ and is exclusive and many people don't know if there'd be a #23 version or not. I remember people here paying $600 for it.

however it's one of the only 2 ways to get the official warm up suit which looks good. the only way to get the white warm up.

also price drop doesn't mean decline in sales, it can mean people are shifting from getting the exclusive to getting the regular 23. time will tell if Red #23 drops in price.
