With EB's attention to detail, I'd be surprised if they just recycled the Rambo body, the Rambo figure has the beefy looking neck Sly had in Rambo 3, but it's not the right look for him in any of the Rocky movies. It's a start, but I don't think they should straight recycle it, and as I've mentioned, I think they need to do new arms that show flexed biceps to make a Rocky figure look right.

:dunnoI don't remember Slys neck looking drastically different from Rocky III to Rambo III. I wouldn't be too disappointed if they re-used the Rambo body(minus the scars) but I would like flexed and un-flexed biceps if possible.

Interesting...........

Was he actually in the movie?

He was actually on 2 occasions. You see a short one of Frank getting thrown by Clubber into the corner like in the clip above.
And he is the one singing "Pushing" in the Gym before the first Clubber fight:lol

He was in Rocky 1 and 2 too,as one of the street corner singers.Jakks actually made a figure of him too which i also have.

Yeah I remember seeing him in I and II, But I had no idea he was in III. It's crazy that there is a figure of him. :lol

That's what i love the most about my jakks figures. They went deep with that line, yet they never bothered with a Blue trunks Clubber.

Could just be my perception or the longer hair, but I always think of Rambo 3 as having that football player type of beefy looking neck, Stallone was as his muscular peak in that film, and Rocky 3 is more like just being in fit shape. His neck almost seems wider than his face in Rambo 3.

Yeah Rocky IV is closer to how he looked in Rambo3 but I don't expect Enterbay to make that distinction. I don't think they will develop a new body.

The only promo shot used has the stars and stripes look and I'm guessing Enterbay is going for an iconic general Rocky look rather than worrying about neck dimensions between the movies.

Yeah his neck looks the same to me. Your neck normally doesn't get that much bigger, but that's not to say that there aren't guy with huge muscular necks. But Stallone was definitely at his peak in terms of muscle mass and definition around 85-89.

I'm not even saying EB has to make a new body from Rambo 3, I was just bringing up one of the things I love about them so far with this HD line and it's the customization of each figure to be the best depiction of each film they're doing, and I wouldn't put it past them to feel the Rambo 3 body isn't the same as Rocky 3 and make a new sculpt. Yes recycling would be faster, but they seem to be striving to impress people with their attention to detail.

Oh yeah I get what you're saying.
But I think the 'customization of each figure' so far has more to do with nothing already existing in the 1/4 scale they could use.

I think each subsequent Arnie, Sly, Bruce figure will use the same body.

There are 3 poses you have to be able to achieve with this Rocky figure. The first 2 are pretty basic and should take little effort, but the fighting stance is extremely important.

EB really needs to make sure the joints are solid on this one with the shoulders & legs. The Rambo body size is fine, but I would love to see a new EB Rocky design with better movement in the shoulders, waist, & ankles.

Presumably, though, as anxious as we are to get confirmation, and nervous we are that it's not, looking back on the HD line, it's got a fairly slow pace, which is good for those trying to get multiple figures.

2011/2012
T-800

2012
Batman
Joker
Bruce Lee
Rambo

2013
BD T-800

Though it's not exact, they're putting out basically 1 HD figure every 3 months, and with only official word on Robocop and Rocky, that's just about the rest of 2013, keeping at the precedented pace.

I think EB's 1/4 Kamen Rider might be their next 1/4 figure to be released, going by the multiple WIP pics that have been shown already.

Unless they plan to release the Robocop figure before the movie, it might not even get released this year. Sorry Roberto :lol
