Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

I think the current 1/6 options for this particular Batman leaves some room for improvement, sadly enough, after seemingly numerous attempts.

If this new Enterbay Batman turns out to be more accurate than HT's, I'm only going to wish it were 1/6.

Very true, but it doesn't mean they shouldn't try. The more competition, the better. I can only speak for myself, but I'm always open for improvements where applicable.

The funny thing is, this particular bat-incarnation would've been a great 1/6 project for Enterbay, as they would have avoided HT's seemingly blood thirsty crusade to out-do them with a future release. I mean, what would HT do, release another BB figure? :lol

Oh well, in any case, I look forward to seeing this thing in full.

Truer words could not have been spoken. I guess one could hope that they change their minds on the scale, but it's extremely unlikely...

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

Just so I'm straight, are these figures or statues?

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

Don't change the scale!! I love 1/4, People can't mistake your collectables for Action Men this way :D

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

Nat at EB shop told me that they'll have pics up March or May, and they will be available 1 month after 1st official pics are up. If I remembered she told me Batman will be up first, followed by the Joker.

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

When you say Batman followed by Joker, are they doing a simultaneous release with these?

As I have some store credit on the shop, she just told me that I have the option of choosing either Batman or Joker. And when I asked when it'll be up she said, March or May and that Batman will be up first. So I dont really know for sure, sorry :lol

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

I wanna see some progress pics.

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

Id like to see the paint apps on the Joker. EB paint job is usually stunning

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

After owning the 1/4 T-800, I gotta say that I am super hyped for their 1/4 Joker. Since 1/4 is a bit more pricey and takes up more room, I've promised myself that I'll only pick up my favorite and truly iconic characters lol. I'm just imaging all the possibilities for a Joker...

-sawed off shotgun made of real wood and metal (maybe some shells)
-Pistol made of metal, removable clip with loadable bullets
-sub-machine gun made of metal
-spring loaded switch blade (metal blade)
-grenade rig
-clown mask
-money/playing cards
-I think a pencil accessory is totally possible, judging by things like the microchip and specific hand to hold it that came with the T-800
-Probably a long shot, but it'd be cool if they implemented a "switch-out" face that depicts his face paint from the interrogation scene.

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

I'm guessing the $325 T800 price tag will not be the same for these :slap

Anybody smell price increase?

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

I'm not sure about the price boost.
T-800 clothes are from real leather (italian leather, not leather from China, it's very important) & Joker is all about simple cloth, Batman is all about rubber or plactic (rubber I guess :().
Plus, in Joker's case, the clothes are easier to recreate. I mean they are more complicated & there is actually more of them :)lol), but they are pretty much simple by their own. T-800 jacket is probably a very tough call for seamstress.
But they can be more pricey in the end only because of the license but I don't think it cost more because like with T2, it seems like everybody on the market was able to buy that one.
And there is another thing - LE number. T-800 is 5 000 worldwide & that helps a lot when we are talking about price decrease. If Joker & Batman will be in 1 500-3 000 LE range - yeah, I believe we are in trouble :lol

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

I would argue that the joker outfit is a LOT tougher than the T800 jacket, we're talking about 4 layers that have to sit naturally on top of each other. I would not at all be surprised if the Joker costs more than the T800

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

Yes, I agree, that's a point here, but there is actually some advances for Joker here too. It's 1/4 scale, so it's easier to make them look more natural because this thing is big. Even 1/6 scale HT v1 Joker looks pretty good if futzed right.
And the T-800 was a headache for Enterbay here again, because 1/4 scale is still not big enough for real leather is some way. If they were using artificial leather clothes would be much thinner in the end.
So it's all about "yes, but in the other hand" in this case, if you know what I mean :)

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

Yes of course, I think it just depends how much effort EB really put into it and how accurate they want to make it. If they really put everything into it, it is certainly possible to make the outfit look VERY accurate in 1/4 scale, but that will involve more cost and better materials.

Not sure how high end they will go, but let's see
