Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

They're making the Begins costume Batman first (under TDK license), Joker will be 2nd (not clear which costume but i'd be shocked if it wasn't the main purple suit)

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

I would argue differently. If you have the HT figure you're not a die hard fan because you think a battletoad in leather is the same as Arnie.

That's a bit much. I'm not sure if I see the whole "squished" thing either. The HT version is a fantastic figure. The EB version is better. But it's kind of hard to fully compare the two being different scale's. Some people don't even care for 1/4. I'm on the fence.

Huh, I bet the BB suit is gonna be sick in 1/4. But it's almost a certainty I'm not gonna be able to afford it.

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

Neither is perfect. But I think EB is quite visibly more accurate facially.

It is. I know what Wofford means when he compares the HT's one's face to that of a frog. Its that whole squashed, eyes too far apart thing. Theres 2 lesser problems with the EB head - the overly rounded almost bun-like hair and the jaw in profile. However its possible to view angles on the EB figure where neither of those 2 things are an issue and what you're left with is a miniature Arnold Schwarzenegger without question. With HT, for me, the best view is the profile. From the front I can see that squashed look with sunglasses both on and off. Nevertheless, no way I'm selling my 1/6 Arnies.

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

I planned to display themm side by side, but the ht figure does look stupid next to enterbays.not only the head but the body too.ht is overated.there good but far from great.look at whiplash, comedian, wolverine, iron man ,t800,two face, joker, alice, and abigail whistler to name a few.they kind of look like the character but have a lot of room for improvement.I'm not saying I don't like them, heck I own everyone I just named and don't regret buying them at all.but if they were to come out with a version 2 I wouldn't hesitate to upgrade.

This is 100% my same answer ............. if someone asked for my opinion :D

Enterbay has definitely upped their game but as far as over all releases, HT owns.

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

Holy poop

Terminator EB > HT

Would everyone still buy a 1/4 Batman if the only difference from 1/6 was size.

I would.

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

Lots of good LOLZ in this thread of late. :clap

T2_PRODUCTION_STILL_VS_ENTERBAY_VS_HT_COMPARISON_3.jpg

I'm not a Terminator collector, but EB is objectively better. Period. HT is almost unrecognizable by comparison.

Yes.

I need one 1/4 scale Batman in my collection.

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

By the way guys head on over to the Enterbay T-800 thread if you want to discuss Batman :lol

I wouldn't say unrecognizable but yeah :lol

Here I always thought HT was the clear winner with all head sculpts.

Yes.

I need one 1/4 scale Batman in my collection.

Now that you put all 3 of them together that way, EB is definitely more accurate, but. . .neither one of them looks all that great in comparison to that Arnold pic IMO. :monkey1

I do see how the HT Arnie looks frog-like, though :lol

I said almost unrecognizable. :lecture

Honestly, although I can see who HT was trying to sculpt the EB head could fool me for Arnold himself.

Just glance at the pic. It really looks like him in the middle. The guy on the right looks like an ape.

:rotfl

The left promo pic and EB look almost identical to me other than the 2 big forehead bulges on the EB but that could be the lighting.

Holy crap, he really does look like an ape.

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

Eh, the Enterbay Arnold is better but who cares? The Hot Toys version is 1/6 and was made in 2009. The Enterbay version is 1/4 and was made just last year. Obviously there's going to be a difference.

I know I was one of the few (a-dev included) that had some criticisms in 2009 about Hot Toys' Arnold, mainly the hard, sharp features, the lines on his face and the overall shape of the head, but it was still the best T2 Uncle Bob prior to Enterbay's offerings and it's still the best 1/6 T2 Terminator. Also once I got it in hand, it was 10 times better than what I was seeing from all the pics.

With that said, that's a bad comparison pic. The neck on mine is no where near as wonky looking. Though I have seen some that are. Anyway, yeah the Enterbay one is "better", but so what? I guess that's fine for someone that only wants one type or version of the character but to me, both are a necessity. You can see where Enterbay was "inspired" by the Hot Toys release, just like you can see how, back in 2008 Hot Toys was "inspired" by the Takara Batman. It's easy to criticize something when it can be compared, but I can assure you nobody thought these figures were "crap" when they were up for preorder. As far as Terminator goes, I love what Hot Toys has done, fantastic figures all around. I want the Enterbay version badly (looks great) but have been avoiding it (canceled preorder). Hell, even the NECA offering (their sculpts anyway) are really well done.

It goes back and forth, that's competition and progress. Without it, you'd have this,

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

wow, just look at those older sculpts :lol

Does make you appreciate the progress being made, along with the price increases to match said progress.
