Jeez, if I hadn't read this thread I'd have never even suspected the sculpt was off. It looks brilliant, especially compared to previous Medicom.

But at $300 - I'm okay with the SSC one. Although I'd love to have that saber...

I'm interested to see it in my studio, but I doubt -if I get it- that I'd keep it. I'm not too stoked with the SSC version either. I put the Stormtrooper head on a narrow TT and used the SSC Farm Boy gear to make a smoking ANH Luke.

I tried to justify it to myself by looking at photos of the sculpt from different angles but it just doesn't bear a good enough resemblance, especially since we've already seen Trev's version

Yeah, it doesn't look bad at all. It may have a slightly different interpretation of the character but it's not "off" my any means. it looks a hell of a lot better than SS's and Medicom's versions. I think people here are just getting pissed off ( especially the Sideshow peeps) because these figures keep getting rehashed by other companies. Get use to it, it is the way of things.. I'm actually excited about this. I'm not a big Luke fan or human character fan in the SW universe, but I know this figure is just the beginning. I can't wait to see Maul or Vader. Gonna be pretty cool!

I think it looks really good. Likeness and all. But to tell you the truth, even without the likeness issues, $300 is a lot of coin for any figure..

I will say this, if this was a Vader or a Maul figure the price point wouldn't be as much of an issue. It would still be a factor but not so much.

I think it's a step in the right direction for Medicom, but their price points are ridiculous. I LOVE the light up saber on that, but that's all I like.

I just don't know how Medicom is expecting this piece to fly of shelves at the price point. I think the 1995 Kenner/Hasbro POTF Farmboy Luke had a better likeness and it was $20 at the time.

I mean $300 for an action figure is beyond ridiculous. There is nothing spectacular about this ExM ANH Luke that makes this stand apart from Hot Toys or even Sideshow figs.
