He did the voice, yes. If you'd taken that scream, but instead, had Vader fall to his knees, slam his arms down, lean back and look up, it would've been fine. However, Hayden, doing a s**tty impersonation of Karloff's Monster, hobbled to the front of the stage like a ****ing tauntaun, did a halfassed limbo lean and flexed...WTF?! :duh

Dont forget Mr Lucas was directing Hayden, in my eyes, its more the directors fault then the actor if the acting isnt up to par. The director should be pushing for better performance. The director wouldve told the actor how/ where to move. But yes the hobble was pretty bad.... i cringe everytime i watch that scene.

I hear what you're saying, but Hayden had more influence on his role than that. He could just as easilly have said, "Hey George, what about this?" George was more apt to listen to actors opinions than you're giving him credit for. Hell, Hayden even picked the hairdo for Anakin.

Hayden is not that bad for a spoiled rotten kid from Thorn Hill.Life as a House proved he can act.

I was really impressed by my Sideshow Vader when I initially purchased him but in final comparison to the Medicom version, the Medicom ultimately wins out. The Med version is more ESB-ish than the SS version.

The helmet is what really detracts from the SS version.

Ask Sideshow answered my question and gave some info about ESB and ROTJ Vaders:

Q - Are you planning to release a 1:6 scale ‘Empire Strikes Back’ and ‘Return of the Jedi’ versions of Vader?
Now that the ‘New Hope’ Vader has been developed these seem like very quick ways to expand the line with minimal tooling
.

A - Yes, Empire and Jedi versions of Vader do appear in our planning, but not in 2009.
It would be ideal to reuse the Darth Vader body.
Much of the armor will require new tooling - there are a fair number of changes between ANH and the other films, even if sub
tle.

That's because the SS version is not a ESB version but a ANH version :D

Which is also quite impressive of the Medicom version since they only made ROTJ and ROTS.

Are the Medicom Vader's taller than the regular Medi human fig?

Medi Anakin I think is the same size as Han. I put it next to Sith Apprentice Vader and it made me laugh how small he was.

I do hope SSC will consider providing the holo-platform for TESB Vader 1/6 figure. Well if they infact release this version of Vader. :dunno

Gentle Giant released their best Vader statue in that pose already.

SS could offer this holo platform indeed too. It wouldn't be as big as the Meditation Chamber which IMO should be made nevertheless, but in diorama scale due to size.
