Figure = $60.00
S&H =$47.00

Shipping almost the price of the figure...Damn that's a lot.NOT include taxes, VAT, import fees or duties.

So shipping and VAT,duties etc.. will be more than the figure itself.

yup and that's to the uk ....supposedly the cheapest for the new rates

For me, the shipping costs are not the real problem here. Shipping HAS become cheaper it seems. But the fact that we lost the advantageous import route through the EU warehouse makes everything more expensive than it was before. So even if you pay less for shipping, the final bill will be more than it was before. Besides, the way SSC cracked the news to us was not very straightforward.
I think that whereas the final invoice for large (or heavy?) items will not rise as drastically, it will for smaller items.
I suppose buying 12" figures from HK can be cheaper than ordering them from Sideshow now. If someone has a list of trustworthy HK sellers, bring it out!

Just had an email from sideshow for my Trick R Treat Sam which is $60 and they are asking $46.45 for shipping to England without vat import and fedex fees.

That is shocking where is the $8 shipping fee? I've cancelled it now total JOKE!!!

Just looking at some of my invoices and the old shipping it cost me:

$25.80 for Elvira PF
$25.80 for Hellboy PF

Most of them were about $26 so why $46 for a 15" doll? :rolleyes:

Chicky, Dusty, I have several 12" figures on order which I payed for with reward points. Will I have to pay tax etc. on the total cost - item + shipping, or just on the shipping? I think it is the latter, but I thought I'd ask, might be interesting for other people also. Needles to say that I'm not to keen on paying tax for an item which I 'earned' by being a loyal customer.
