EU Wharehouse closing?

Just looking at some of my invoices and the old shipping it cost me:

$25.80 for Elvira PF
$25.80 for Hellboy PF

Most of them were about $26 so why $46 for a 15" doll?

I have the BiB Spidey on flexi. Its due its final payment on the 15th (I think). To tell you the truth I am alittle nervous after reading some of the quotes people are getting.

Figure = $60.00
S&H =$47.00

Shipping almost the price of the figure...Damn that's a lot.NOT include taxes, VAT, import fees or duties.

So shipping and VAT,duties etc.. will be more than the figure itself.

It happened to me more than once alas. VAT tax in Romania is 19% and soon to be 22%...

And they add customs taxes to the whole thing printed on the invoice, not just to the figure/statue, but to the shipping I pay as well. Thus I pay for shipping the package to me, and after that I have to pay taxes for paying shipping. Ironical?

To give a simple example: if a figure costs $100 and I pay $50 shipping, then when it arrives at customs I have to pay customs for a total of $150 not just $100. And this is not in my country only, this happens in Croatia as well, and maybe others too.

Since I'm not sure the laws can be easily changed maybe the invoices could be changed and showing the total in a different way somehow.

The Vader bust was always shipping direct from the US warehouse. Therefor the new rates are somewhat irrelevant.

$26 is likely to be a rate from the UK based EU warehouse, not direct from the US. Shipping from the US will always be more expensive and as stated, the Vader bust was always intended to ship direct from the US.
My original point being, if Sideshow have indeed established a new lower shipping rate, this could have a positive bearing on the price you will now pay for the bust.

They didn't have stock at the EU warehouse on those pfs and even so if they had the EU warehouse now they wouldn't have tried to charge me $46 would they? thats what i'm saying there is no lower shipping by the looks of it, it's going to cost a whole lot more when they said it wouldn't.

I do see what you're saying though but they said lower shipping and like everyone here has said it looks like a lie.

Yes, clarification is required. Though I feel anyone how truly believed they were going to be charged $7.79 for an item to be shipped from the US to the UK via FedEx were fooling themselves.

Yeah they were but that doesn't alter the fact that shipping seems higher. I'll leave it there for now and see what people get charged on other stuff, i'm not just going to go along with everything SS says about it being cheaper though.

BTW I don't believe we are. But we need SS to get on top of this and give us the cheaper shipping we were promised.

We all know we are going to get raped on the Vat and duty. But we are promised cheaper shipping.

If we don't get it then we should all speak with our wallets.
