I just knocked on my neighbours since some of there post was gven to me by mistake and they told me someone accross the way had there window left open and someone jumped in , luckily the person was in and managed to scare em off.

If though god forbid any theives managed to get into a collectors home do you think they would bother with statues or just try and take the most common stuff ?.

I still don't have home insurance here yet too. I'm such a retard. Will have to phone up tommorow I guess.

Definitly get home insurance buddy! :rock

They may not steal your statues but they might smash them for fun!

I have our collection as a special, specified, extra on our policy...costs a little more a month but I think its well worth it...remember its not just theft, but fire or other disasters! :horror

I worry more that someone will steal deliveries off of my porch than from in my house. Once they get in there is a ton of more stuff that a crook will probably target over my Doom PF or my Iron Man Comiquette. :lol

If someone is desperate enough to break into your home not knowing what reveals inside then I would be certain they would take whatever they could get their hands on.

I'm not worried though I have home insurance, ADT security and a really really nosey cat that LOVES to scrap! :D

I welcome someone to come in to my home to try to take something, so I can show him my ARSENAL...:devil

Good point. Kind of bothersome though that they wouldn't pay out secondary market value though right ?. I know that sounds greedy but I mean if there worth double there worth double right.

In my flat it would take about 4 sceonds to take a look at everything so they would probably have time to get it all.:monkey4

Yup, that was exactly my concern but I asked about there policy and they said they either replace the item OR provide the money for a life for like replacement...doesn't really matter much for me as I have our collection insured for £25,000...that could cover most of it :lol

Deffo not greedy but retail price money is better than NO money! :rotfl

When my folks got robbed ages ago, the burglars took a few of their valuable collectibles (limoges, robj, old toy soldiers) , but left behind some very valuable things. I think that toys/statues etc have to be recognized as something of worth by a thief, as well as be worth the time and effort required to transport something fragile that might be hard to resell immediately. My folks kept pennies in a bowl, and the burglars took all of the pennies but left the bowl, while the bowl was worth 100x whatever pennies they took...
