I'm not scared of them being stolen at all. I'm scared of my house catching fire and them burning up.

i'm scared i'm gonna pass out with bong in hand and a small amount of greenleaf will still be lightly kindling and the bong drops to the floor and i burn my house down. anybody else have this fear or am i just being paranoid?

I worry about my dog when I'm not home moreso than my collection. The thieves now are going into houses and killing the dog(s) first before taking anything. They can have my stuff, just leave my doggie be! :(

that's true...but doing this would give me the reason to track the guys down and put hurt on them from my friend's smith and wesson.

Pretty disturbing, what city is this?

I don't worry about my stuff getting stolen because it's like, 1 out of every what, 10 people or more who consider these things collectibles as opposed to toys. They'd be more likely to steal my laptop, stereo, TV, etc.

that's what I'm thinking. If some big gangster comes in hes gonna want the stereo and tv and dvds. He'd prob skip the toys. Doesn't know they're worth alot and or doesn't want to carry toys around trying to sell them :lol

I agree to a point but, Allot of us keep our collections in glass display cases.
i'M SURE even a dumb fart crook could figure out Glass case=$$$$$

I live in southern Louisiana and I was one of the many people affected by Katrina. I lost my house and alot of collectibles that I couldn't fit in my truck when I evacuated. I worry every year that it could happen again, even though the new house is well above sea level and is a two story model.

Sorry to hear about that... :(
I could only imagine how you must feel.

I really dont care if anybody steals my collection... It is well insurred (in Germany these things are included in the common home insurrance)... What is more important to me is that if ever someone breaks in he wouldnt meet my girl being alone at home... This really scares me... Hopefully this will never happen...

No, i dont worry because i have house alarm and just bought a separate policy for fire and theft for my collection. I have over 150 pieces.

They do have good security in the Twilight Zone....I believe they use Brinks.

Thats why you need the 1:1 scale Terminator to scare the bad guys away.

If you broke into someones home the LAST thing you'd be trying to cart out would be the stuff this site is dedicated too. There's no underground blackmarket fencing ring for this stuff like other stuff that gets stolen. Most people, who are actually thiefs and not random crack heads wouldn't even know how to go about getting rid of stuff like this. EBay would be an option, or newpaper ads etc. but again, realistically what kind of thief uses those options AFTER breaking into a home!? I just don't see it. I'm sure it happens, but not enough for there to be concern. And definitely not enough for anyone to get "scared" about it. imo.

On the show "It Takes a Theif", in a few of the episodes the guy broke in and stole some collections. Most of the toys were displayed in the open... he took them without second guessing, just to resell on ebay. He knew they were worth money.

Electronics,Guns,Jewlery,Collectables are the only thing theives are after.
