It's something of a mixed blessing as in my area at least the QC of the batch of Hasbro MP Prime's TRU got was abysmal.

I went through an entire pallet trying to find one without scratched paint and when I finally found one I got it home, opened it and one of the legs promptly fell off in a manner which it clearly wasn't intended

Not really. With there only being 4 releases there's little point Hasbro spending money on giving them their own packaging and the Generations line is meant to have a bit of everything in it.

I was going to get them until I discovered they are about Scout Class sized and not Deluxes like I originally thought.

They look excellent but I can't justify approx £45 each for a Scout............MP Skywarp only cost me £40.

Possibly, but we got the Superion rerelease and there is also the fact that Hasbro UK is made up of a small group of ( badly ) trained chimps to consider.

An example of Hasbro UK's logic is,

"Let's not release the show accurate Animated Ultra Magnus that most people will want, but we will release the Roadbuster repaint that all but the hardest of the hardcore fans couldn't care less about."

Other recent casualties are,

ROTF Voyager wave with Long Haul in it.
Animated Arcee and Cybertron mode Ratchet.
NEST Voyagers.

So you see why us Brits often get a bit grumpy about releases. We can buy stuff online of course but the chance to buy more stuff by simply walking into a store would be nice.

they are smaller like scout class figures (they go with the shadow commander (repaints of the PE shadow fig)

Ah, I see. No Shadow Commander for me. Yet. I just cracked open my Alternity Bumblebee and Clifjumper, man are they sweet. The transformation is fluid and the look great. Nice mix between realistic and G1 fun!

Holee ____! I just watched this on Topless Robot, and just wow! A dude synced up G1 sounds, voices, etc. and put it into the new video game trailer for War For Cybertron.

That was amazing!

The game looks pretty cool too, but now I'm just gonna be disappointed without the G1 sounds and voices...

Ok, so I got my Target Exclusive G1 repaint of Bruticus Maximus in the mail. Now it's just a waiting game for the FansProject figs. I gotta admit they are pretty nice figures. Nice paint apps too.
