Everything Transformers that isn't G1 sucks

Ok, so I got my Target Exclusive G1 repaint of Bruticus Maximus in the mail. Now it's just a waiting game for the FansProject figs. I gotta admit they are pretty nice figures. Nice paint apps too.

I did find about 50 MP Skywarps at Wal-Mart for $30. Nobody wants Skywarp.

I think they're pretty much the same, but I'd verify it with a real Transformer expert first. There might be slight differences that I don't know about.

Yeah, I can pick one up for you. I might not be able to pick it up until next Friday as I'm attending a convention this weekend, but they didn't look like they were going anywhere anytime soon.

Is the Starscream Takara really that small? I thought it was larger than the Wal-Mart Exclusives?

Actually there's quite a few differences eg,

The alternate face on the Takara version is unique. The Hasbro version is basically a repaint of the Starscream version of mold as it has the exact same faces.

The eyes on the Takara are red whereas the Hasbro's are yellow.

The shades of black and purple used on each version are different.

The various markings on the plane mode are very different. The Hasbro version is like the G1 Skywarp toy, and the Takara is more of a realistic style ( aside from the color of course.)

MP Skywarp is one of the few times I think Hasbro's version is better than Takara.

Hopefully they'll do a similarly decent job with Thundercracker somewhere down the line.
