Just curious, did you watch Sinister, Paranormal Activity 1 and Strangers.

If so, scary for you?

none of them are really scary (the Strangers was such a borefest for me) . but I think it depends on what scares you personally.

I have a thing against alien movies. Alien movies tend to freak me out. Like The Fourth Kind.... couldn't really sleep that night much, kept having all these nightmares.

Movies with Aliens are just what freaks me out. But other people would say the same, Fourth Kind was not scary for them.

Exorcist is still the best.

Movie doesn't scare me mind you, and more important than creepy is that it's disturbing to this day, to see a preteen girl stabbing her crotch with a crucifix then proceed to demand that her mother lick her there.

Just think about that for a second, how crazy that still sounds in 2013, an era of desensitization.

That scene has still never been beat.

That movie was truly way ahead for its time. :lol

Sooo, opening sequence I laughed so hard I cried. I kid you not. I laughed quite a bit throughout the movie. Had a few tense moments but nothing that was terrifying. It was an all around entertaining movie, but not scary.

However, I was raised on horror films and it takes a lot to scare me.

I saw it at my new Drafthouse too! I love that place. Best theater in the universe.

Anyway. Yes. I laughed through most of the movie. I don't think a single moment actually frightened me. I've been watching Evil Dead movies since I was 6. :lol

I liked Sinister. It was spooky...but not scary. Good flick though. But i'm biased because I ****ing love Carlye...aka Cargill..the writer. :D

Yeahhhh....that make up was really ****ty. Oh well. Overall the film was decent, so I can forgive the crap halloween store make up.

That is the reason I can never completely watch that movies as well. I have watched some crazy crap in my day but stay away from that scene.

So July 16th for the bluray.

As expected, not the unrated cut, so it will be a double dip afterall.

Wait, what am I saying, it's Evil Dead, make that a quadruple thousand dip.

So, who's buying it. :lol

I skipped this in the theater but picked it up on bluray today. I was a little bummed it wasn't an extended cut though as I tend to pick those up over the standard theatrical cut.
