Saru is ordered! Super stoked. One of my favorite characters, and Doug Jones may be the nicest guy I’ve ever met.
Can’t wait!
Can’t wait!
Update on my earlier question in case anyone is curious. Retailers do have access to Saru. My usual shop had them for order right at noon as well. Will retailers have Saru as well? Or does immediate purchase mean it will be exclusive to the EXO-6 site?
I have her. You’re not wrong IMO. Recognisable but paint and sculpt a bit soft. Head is a bit thin—reminiscent of a Barbie, I suppose. Steady progress in this arena wins the day. Q is excellent. Expect further refinements with additional releases. Go EXO6!I really want to be…. You have no idea how much a want to be, but I’m just not sold on the Burnham sculpt. She looks too much like a Barbie to me in an exquisite uniform. Somebody tell me it’s just the photos .
I really appreciate the honest opinion. I just ordered Saru because I had ZERO reservations about that amazing figure!I have her. You’re not wrong IMO. Recognisable but paint and sculpt a bit soft. This is why I should step away. All well known producers advised me to do this. They said I will eventually go through a quitting phase. All of them experienced because all of them started out as a passion work.I really appreciate the honest opinion. I just ordered Saru because I had ZERO reservations about that amazing figure!
I too wish EXO nothing but success, but I honestly think a lot of us are just tip toeing around Nanjin afraid to tick him off with well meaning criticism. One would hope respectful but honest feedback would be encouraged since we’re the ones supporting the company, but that doesn’t seem to be the case a lot of the time if we’re being real.
MANY of EXOs current projects look absolutely incredible, but I wish we wouldn’t be afraid to call balls and strikes on ANY company involved in this joyous but expensive hobby.
One Jedi Master’s opinion.

The school is for physical disabled children. No one will ask me questions because no one cares. They are more like ophrans. I only have to comply with the local government regulations, and they will love to change any rules for me so they can get rid of these kids.Nanjin,
As much passion as you have for Star Trek, it seems as if you have another one…to open a school. I am a teacher who works with 8 year olds and I understand your commitment. I spent a couple weeks in the classroom this summer painting and creating an environment that would excite and inspire children. Your journey after Exo-6 will be one of fulfillment and rewards.
I also think when you come on these boards and share with us, you are teaching us. We are learning the challenges and constraints you deal with as well as the achievements. One of my challenges is dealing with parents and every year there is always one who makes me question why I am in this profession. But I remember the why and realize I will not please every parent. And that’s alright. I do my best to educate them as well as their children and most of the time it works and sometimes it doesn’t.
I hope you continue to stay on these forums and educate us about Exo-6. Perhaps in that discourse, we can learn to be civil and thoughtful about our comments and spread that to others. There is a way to give constructive criticism but not everyone knows how. I believe there are many members here who are so appreciative and hope for the chance to learn from you, stand with you on this journey and defend you from unnecessary attacks.
I hope you give us the opportunity.
