I always get a huge kick out of McCoy's retired look in TMP, but I can't say it's a figure I really need in the collection.

Agreed. I don’t really know that I would buy that particular look. If somehow we could get two sculpts and an interchangeable outfit for the TMP McCoy that would be different.

That will shoot up the price tag and limit quantities. So we won't go that route. We are talking about sub 100 and 200 price tag. $100+ differences will surely affect sales.

Since average Trek fans can have regular TOS or Twok McCoy, TMP McCoy should focus on the McCoy fans specifically.

I'd be cool on getting disco McCoy, but I'd also want him in his regular TMP duty uniform as well as white medic uniform. Same with the other bridge crew: Kirk in Admiral uniform, regular and short sleeve "dentist" variant. In a nutshell, having them in all in their variants seen on screen in all of the movies.

Yeah definitely prefer the TWOK version of that medic outfit.

And when it comes to his regular uniform, I plan to only ever have him displayed with the jacket flap wiiide open, since he just looks so cool that way.

I observed something here:

Trek fans mostly want a regular McCoy. But McCoy fans like this Disco McCoy. The arthors who wrote books about Kelly DeForest strongly hope we make disco McCoy.

If we do this McCoy, we will include his chest hair I am not concern with regular McCoy. There will be at least 2 in different ages.

Yeah, makes sense. I was just saying I wouldn’t buy the retired/disco suit McCoy on its own. Would be cool to see it as a secondary option, but I get it that it’s too cost prohibitive.

At the moment I’m just ready to see what tomorrow is going to bring. The Mirror Universe wouldn’t have been my first choice, and it’s still to be determined if I buy into the line or not, but I’m interested in seeing what’s going to be revealed.

Have to agree with the “heck ya, I’d buy that” crowd. Star Trek is my number one love so I’m hooked on whatever. Plus, I love the casual look.

I guess in a sense the idea of that is cool. I do really want that version of Spock with his Vulcan robe. Dammit FlyAndFight, making me reconsider if I’d buy a figure I thought I’d pass on.

That’s probably where I sit too. I would definitely be tempted and he would be very unique and I would feel like he could be a stand alone figure but as much as I would be tempted I also know deep down I always see McCoy paired with Spock and/or Kirk and for that I would see TOS and movie red uniform in my head. I actually would rather have him in the Voyage outfit along with Kirk and Spock. That would be a unique and visually interesting ST display. Still I would love to see retired McCoy made and see it successful but as much as I like McCoy I do not know if I pass up whatever other ST I would have to forego in order to have him myself.

Yeah I would probably cave in and get those.

I could display the big 3 in TOS, TMP (in above looks), TWOK and the Voyage Home. Yikes that’s 12 figure right there but I would try to get them all. Also looking at it that way I would actually prefer McCoy with the beard.

For TOS dude like me, I want to have a collection of the TOS storyline, from Cage (how this Fandom started) , to TOS the iconic 5 years mission, then from TOS to TMP where the TOS returned after 5 years of separation, and the continuation of their adventure in twok. If possible, I will do ST6 because the character Kirk wasn't fully developed until ST6 where Kirk finally had a clear understanding of who he was, and of course, ST6 TOS last mission.

ST6 will be my last Set of Trek figures no matter if the market wants this series or not ST6 is a gift for myself for everything that I have done for 1/6 Trek.

I want the picture which Spock gave to Zachary Spock in 1/6 form.

Yeah given the beautiful way it wraps up their story it's really just ST6 that I want the full crew from. For TWOK and the other TOS movies it's really just a few characters I'd want from each.
