Yup that's why I'd much rather have his earlier look on display. His ponytail look came towards the end of the series which was... not exactly TNG at its best.
There is just something about being on a station all the time, lots of Quark and other aliens I didn't care for that kept me from it. It was only good when the war was happening. TNG was out there on the front lines, discovering and solving problems. Voyager had that umbrella of terror; all the way out there on your own and most likely resulting in death. When I rewatch TNG, I only pick The Pegasus, All Good Things, Phantasms, Genesis and Parallels from season 7.
Season 6 is a far stronger season. It would be Relics, Schisms, True Q, Rascals, Realm of Fear, Ship in a Bottle, Second Chances, Starship Mine and the franchise greats Chain of Command and Tapestry.
My favorite window of TNG is the last episodeof s3 right up to s6. Up until Best of Both Worlds, TOS was seen as Star Trek, but when they came out with that cliffhanger, they were Star Trek. My favorite episodes were Picard centric but let's face it the TNG were so well written and played. There's a reason why they're still universally adored almost 30 years after it ended.
I get why people love DS9, but I never gelled with it like TNG. Voyager I love second after TNG, because the core crew were just as interesting and worked so well together.
I can deny it. Especially when it comes to Voyager.Yeah DS9 may have had the best writing and most developed characters... but there's no denying that TNG and VOY are a whole lot more fun and rewatchable, with characters that are a lot more fun to hang out with.
Awesome photo, it looks like a Starfleet AA meeting with Janeway as their chairperson lol
Yes Scotty was a quick change going from Khitomer back to the Enterprise but nothing beats Chekov's goofy collar from Star Trek 3. In one scene it's there plain as day and in the next scene it's gone, never to be seen again. I'm guessing Pavel had the good sense to leave it back on the ship when they blew it up.
