My only qualm with Quark at this point is like I said in the DS9 thread. It’s a busy time between TMP Kirk and Spock coming as well as holidays plus all the normal expenses.

Kind of wish the release could have been held back for a little bit. I might forgo getting Quark from EXO-6 and may need to go through Sideshow.

Yeah, it's a real pet peeve of mine when companies release figures around Nov/Dec. Someone pointed out using Paypal credit 4mo. Companies have a good holiday on our money

It's not a release though. It's a preorder, and only takes like 20.00 to lock him in. His actual release isn't until like March-May of next year.

For some reason, dates aren't appearing correctly all of a sudden and it's messing with notices. What I thought just went up for sale was actually LAST week and I'm SOL on Kirk with SS waitlisted and BBTS sold out. Do these usually move THAT quick or is it just because it's the og cast?

Mine says it was received by the airline today in Shenzen, so still quite a way to go.

Strikes are today and tomorrow, so will miss those. 30th will affect them though.

Mine departed from China at 08.55am (China time) this morning (25th Nov'). Should get Tracking update once it lands in the UK and expect to get Kirk sometime next week. Excellent service by Nanjin.

Nanjin can't control the actual post. It needs to go from China to Shenzen first, then out to UK. Unless yours specifically says it's going direct.

Mine didn't get a label and shipped until Monday, and was sat in Shenzen for a couple of days. Airline got it yesterday.

Bear in mind delays with strikes too. Mine has an estimate of another 8 - 11 days.

Shenzhen is a city in China just like Shanghai. Shenzhen is a major transport hub in southern China. It is like going across the bridge from. Manhattan to New Jersy.

What I mean is it doesn't say what part of China it came from, only "Item Leaving overseas + China" and then to Shenzen sorting center, then airline.

Anyway, it takes as long as it takes. Eager to see it in-hand, but not desperate.

I highly advise anyone on the fence not to sleep on Quark. He might not be a “Main” character you feel you must have, but he is just so unique and iconic that he will add immeasurable presence and personality to your collection that I’d call him a must have.

In much the same way the Goblins an Dobby set off my my Harry Potter collection, Quark will do wonders for your DS9/Star Trek display, and there will almost certainly never be a Quark v2.

I wouldnt have expected I would even consider this character. …. But on seeing how unique and colorful he is, I’m thinking he would look great in my display between the Blitzway Jimi Hendrix and the Dude from The Big Lebowski.

On the china post tracking. Mine stated Location 3, then stated flight departed and finally stated flight arrival. other tracking apps also states 'flight arrival destination country'. Best tracker is chinapost-track.com.
even Parcelmonitor has 'inbound flight arrived'.

I haven’t seen Nanjin mention anything about tomorrow unless I missed it (I was oblivious to him saying about a figure PO on Friday before we knew it was Quark).

With him saying “Spock would follow 2 weeks after” I always assumed barring any issues with covid he would be 2 exact weeks later so it would be this Thursday like Kirk did - unless you have seen something said about something coming tomorrow?

I get the impression he’s trying to ensure that fulfilment goes smoothly for Spock and the essentials version of Sisko before he starts asking people to part with money - he wants to deliver ASAP and he’s having a race with himself to get them out the door and in as many collectors hands faster than last time.
