Spock has arrived in NZ!

A couple of quick loose pics before I go to work! No time to futz, ah well.

As seems to be usual for EXO-6, he's nicer in hand than in the promo photos. Very nice detailing - loving the skin texture.

This needs a solution to get the collar to lay flat--who thinks this could be wired from the shoulder stitch down the gold braid on the collar under the material? It was the only nit that Michael Crawford had as well. The HS looks fabulous. I bet I know someone on this forum (ahem) that will tackle the slight purple under his raised brow... ;)

EDIT: Well I take that back!!!...just searched images of screen Spock Mirror --and the lapels do NOT lay flat! nor is the purple that pronounced under his brow...

Nanjin--as usual your meticulous attention to detain and study on these characters wins out again!

Shipment in transit at US,SPRINGFIELD MA NETWORK DISTRIBUTION CENTER. Thanks for your waiting. Was in Avenel on the 23rd. Estimate says April 30, but I'm betting sooner. No indication yet on final package handler.

Mine says, "Shipment in transit at US,CA,Fontana. Thanks for your waiting." I'm sure its been sitting there these several days due to Customs. I would imagine that it would be handed off to USPS but not sure.
I just checked my USPS Informed Delivery and a new tracking number appeared which shows "AVENEL, NJ 07001" - which is what the SF tracking shows as it's current location, so it must be USPS who will be making the final delivery.

Probably the best looking figure so far! Mine has landed in Aus! So hopefully will be hand by late this week or early next week.

The earliest and most recent EXO-6 figures together. Nice to see the height difference!
I do wish Spock had a more appropriate base though - the TNG/VOY style Transporter pad definitely stands out.

Such a great likeness - and yes, I too appreciate the subtle details such as the lighter beard. Mine seems to have missed a little hair paint around the ear, but should be an easy fix. The mold line on the top of the head is unfortunate though, and I hope future Spock(s) don't suffer from it. I do hope regular TOS Spock has his purple eyeshadow - it's a distinctive part of his look (actually Bone's makeup is on point too!)

Hopefully, everyone else's Spocks make their way to their destinations soon!

how do you fix a little hair paint around the ear?

Some of my quick first impressions of the figure:

--The sculpt looks fantastic in hand, although the skin tone is once again a bit too tanned for my taste, especially for Spock.

--The pants I think could have been tailored a bit better. They sit pretty low out of box (making his torso look way too long) , but when you inch them further up they tend to bunch up in an unsightly way in the crotch, so it's kinda tricky to find a good middle ground.

--I didn't realize until now, but the pants on this are just a regular satin black and don't have that awesome glittery look that the QMX pants had. Not sure if that's accurate to the mirror episode or not, but I really hope we'll see the glittery pants again on the regular TOS figures.

--Absolutely love the much stronger magnets they're using for holding the phaser.

--Not too crazy about how much the velcro causes the tunic to bulge out in front, so I'll probably try removing that and simply sewing the shirt closed for a more streamlined look.

Sorry for sounding so nitpicky. Ultimately these are still fairly minor issues for me and I'm pretty darn happy with the figure overall. And I really can't wait to pair him with a Mirror Kirk. 🙂

Here's a few quick shots of mine. I tried to give him that slightly hunched posture he had, but there's still something about the body and proportions that aren't quite working for me. And I think part of that is the fact the hips are a little too narrow, even for Nimoy. So I'll definitely be trying some mods to the body and outfit at some point.
