I got the Knothole Island download and played through it all last night. Kinda short but the best thing about it is you can resurrect your dog (if you sacrificed him at the end). :rock :rock I missed that little pooch....plus he helped me find a lot of buried treasure. They do have some cool things to buy/find in Knothole Island...but as far as quests go, there was only 3 new ones.

Thanks for the spoiler Jen! :banghead:peace

I hadn't played this in a long time (until I got the Knothole Island download). It's been fun to go back again and get a couple more achievements. I ended up get married to 2 others (now I'm married to 3 guys) and I have 10 kids. :horror I treat them all too well....no one has threatened divorce........yet. :lol :lol

No, get a real RPG like Fallout or Oblivion. Don't waste your money on this game.

:lecture:lecture:lecture:lecture

Fable felt more like RPG lite with more hack and slash than anything else. Missions are basically talk to a town member then follow the yellow line and hack up a bunch of bandits. It does have its moments like buying up shops in town and then building them up and making money. The magic system is horrible and that was one of the most disappointing things for me.

so i picked this game up, i like it to be honest! :) but im in a bit of a pickle im looking for some dead pirates treasure and i have found 9 but cant find the last one, could anyone give us a hand?

Yeah Fable 2 is a really light game compared to Fallout 3 or Oblivion. Those are the games I would recommend to anyone looking for a great RPG. Don't get me wrong, I like Fable 2 a lot, but it has little depth or challenge in comparison to the other games I mentioned. It also cannot compare to amount of content. Fallout and Oblivion are massive, and would seriously take months to complete fully, while Fable 2 can be completed in a few days.

Ok so I beat Fable 2... now what? Can I play through again and keep all of my money or do I need to start from scratch?
I want to play through again and be evil but I don't want to be broke.
Also can I keep my old file so I can go back and finish up some acheivements?

Dont know if anyone still has this game or not but here is some info.

More Fable 2 DLC Imminent

Twitter is fastly becoming, more and more these days especially, a great way for you to get some inside information about your favourite industry.

The latest nitbit of information comes directly from Lionhead Studios' Twitter feed and it reads:

"LionheadStudios - News from GDC 09 :: New Fable II DLC called "See the Future" announced and released within weeks!"

Following that, I went digging for information and it appears that Peter Molyneux said a few things regarding it over at Kotaku. Molyneux stated that "the next DLC comes out in the spring ... We're in the spring now so don't think months, think more like weeks. It's called See the Future."

Furthermore, Molyneux went on to say that "the first (DLC) was done very close to Fable II and the team was tired and we sort of pushed ourselves to get something out early for the fans ... This time we've taken a little bit more time on it, it's a little bit more story driven. It answers some of the questions, if you're a real fan of Fable, it answers some of those questions. It's going to test you a little bit emotionally as well. But I think the real unique thing here is it starts to tease and hint at what it starting to happen in the world of Albion and what is happening in the future."

I want to care because the series had potential but Molyneux is a used car salesman douche.

April 6, 2009 - Next month Microsoft will offer a new add-on for Fable II that will provide a glimpse into the future of Albion.

The See the Future downloadable pack will be available in May for 560 Microsoft Points (USD $7) and will provide new quests, items and challenges for your hero.

In See the Future, Murgo the Trader returns to Bowerstone Market with some mysterious new treasures, including potions that can transform your dog into a different breed. And if you're feeling adventurous, you'll also be able to embark these new quests to lift the curses from Murgo's items:

The Ghosts of the Snowglobe Quest

Holding a disturbing secret, the small model village inside it was once a real town in Albion. The people who once inhabited it are now ghosts condemned to endless torment until the shadowy threat that cursed them is defeated.

The Cursed Knight Quest

Forever banished to a land beyond the dead, the Cursed Knight awaits a hero who has the strength and will to dress up in convincing costumes, even imitating a hobbe or balverine, to save him from his fate.

The Colosseum

The Colosseum puts even the Crucible to shame. Only the greatest heroes have triumphed here. Your abilities will be put to the test to prove yourself in combat once and for all, to win the ultimate in prizes.

Succeed in these quests, and you'll be rewarded with a vision of Albion's future. The See the Future downloadable pack will be released alongside a free update for Fable II that will allow those who don't download the paid content to continue playing cooperatively with friends. And as an added bonus, the free patch will introduce new items including Welley's soldier helmet and other clothing, a braided ponytail and other hairstyles, psycho Jester make-up, a new hero expression, the back flip trick for canine companions, and a collectible Murgo the Trader gold statue.
