We decide to do a reissue of the Sherman commander FP009A standard version. For those of you who didn't get him before and want to pair with the loader, now is your chance…

I wish they would do that with Wade (SPR). I was waiting on DID, but that never materialized.

I got the original FP009 Wardaddy sculpt, body and hands, so changed the head on my bash and gave him the gloved hands:

My main reason for getting the sculpt was that it was designed for the helmet, which has quite a narrow fit so the ears need to be tucked in.

I'd already swapped out the Facepool Sledge Hammer sculpt, because he looked too pale for North Africa, and was using DID's Joerg (Steamboat Willy) as he reminded me a little of Humphrey Bogart (Sgt. Joe Gunn in Sahara, 1943). However, the helmet didn't seem to fit quite right.

So now he's much closer to Facepool's Wardaddy, though with the issues I had with the figure remedied: shoulder holster and boots.

(According to Wardaddy's back story he and his crew had actually served in the North African campaign since Operation Torch in November 1942).

I just picked up Wardaddy, I was on the fence with him when he first came out! When I get time I'm going to heavily weather him. Looks way too clean for my liking.
Only things I dont like is the very obvious velcro on the shirt and the collars of the jacket want to sit up high and wont flatten down so I may need to iron the jacket and make a crease there to make it look more natural.
very nice figure overall though. I also got the DID original one from 2016 on ebay and he's on the way minus the original box and the metal STG44.

Upgraded the body to new gen DID, also
moved the insignia up higher on his sleeve, I cut the velcro off the top part of his shirt and removed a button to let it sit open a little and remaining velcro is hidden. The jacket got a quick coffee wash and finally weathering and some dirt!

Looks great. I have a couple of custom figures that I made right when this movie came out, before all the companies started making figures. Fun project hunting down most of the equipment and chevrons. I had to make the holster for Wardaddy cause I couldn’t find anything close to the movie. Had to get creative for his pistol grips too even though it’s the wrong revolver.
Anyways, I do have two of these figures still in the box a deluxe and regular collecting dust. One day I will get around to them once the tank hatch display gets released. I do hope they continue with the entire team, but they will probably stop at Grady.

They look brilliant nicely done. Facepool are making Coon Ass I have him preordered. I asked them if they're going to make all the tank crew and they said yes they plan to. Hopefully they make Bible next.

Anyways, you did an excellent job on your Wardaddy too

Also, I have Grady “Coon-***” Travis on PO too and great to hear the whole team is in the works. Just need the Sherman now

Oh yeah I'm going down another rabbit hole here after buying this one. Now I want a Sherman haha. That cupola diorama of theirs does look cool. Only downside to Facepool is they're notoriously slow to release figures. It could be a few years before we get all the crew!!

Have you ever heard of the brand 'Gotruck'
They make metal vehicles. They're bringing out the Fury tank. Replica from the film. I'm gonna guess this is going to be €1600 or something maybe much more!! I'd does look cool though I'd never be willing to fork out that much for a vehicle.
