I'm a couple of hours into the game but seriously reconsidering restarting and respec my guy.

After spending lots of time playing sneaky sneaky style in fallout 3 and doing stealth non-lethal missions in MGS v I thought I'll play a run and gun guy.

But so far that tactic sucks because ammo is scarce and I seem to do more damage in vats.

Maybe I should just go back to playing as a sneaky glass canon cuz I feel like a loud glass Nerf gun right now.

I do a little bit of everything which is doable thanks to the way you can improve your SPECIAL over time. I sneak around when I feel like it and get those nice 2x damage attacks with single shot weapons and sometimes I go balls out with automatics and my shotty, throwing grenades all over just for fun. Automatics aren't very powerful, but they're a blast to use.

I might have a look into those gun mods and perks.

And I think I'll stick with my guy. Played a bit yesterday to do some raiders "house clearing". I've ditched the automatic weapons and ended up using a musket gun and shot gun combo. Lots of fun. Pick off enemies from mid-distance (using free aim cuz Vats keeps missing at long range) and when they try to rush me, I retreat to a choke point and vats shot gun into their faces!

So it's musket gun for mid range, shot gun for panic mode and machete for bloat flies, mole rats etc to save ammo.

Also, I've started encountering feral ghouls. They are surprisingly scary this time around. Very tough and very fast. I've been avoiding them haha.

Question: do Fusion Cores recharge over time? I have about 9 and I haven't really used the power armor, but I did do a few missions recently with it. So I was just wondering, may continue to using the suits over time.

Don't think so, but fusion Cores aren't as "rare" as they make them sound. I have a ton. You just have to loot everything.

I'm level 25 and have only done like 2 story missions and a handful of side quests and I think I'm about to take a time out and build a mansion on Spectacle Island. And get my settlements flourishing.

Yeah they don't seem as rare, but I was wondering if they do charge. Would be a nice feature and gives the Power Armor Station a bit more of a useful notion.

I'm a 23, still haven't even done the first story quest. All exploring and side quests. Trying to find as many magazines and bobbleheads.

cores don't recharge, however if you want to sell them they are the same value regardless of the charge left in them. power armor station is only for upgrading parts essentially

cores are also pretty plentiful however not so much so that you can just run around everywhere in power armor, though you can probably do every store mission in power armor if you only pick up the cores doing the story missions and don't sprint

and if you're gonna leave your armor somewhere remember to take the core out otherwise someone might take it

Level 30 and still very much addicted. It's a beautiful, very flawed masterpiece.

I found a great way to get more adhesive for anyone interested. 3 corn, 3 mufruit, 3 tato and a purified water at the cooking station will create vegetable paste which equals 5 adhesive. VERY useful for modding as adhesive is used for everything and can be a pain in the a$$ to find.

So, I just realized that you can only build so much in a settlement, which is super lame. But there is a way to lower the size bar by dropping your weapons and then storing them within the workbench. Anyone know anymore details on this? Your supposed to be able to do it over and over. The Reddit is quite vague.

EDIT: Yeah, it works just go back to the workbench, get your weapons and repeat.

I don't know either.

I've played a good amount on the weekend. I like it, but it's not amazing. There was a nuclear storm which I thought was awesome.

Had a great little glitch last night where a guy named Art was in a gun fight with himself. Same name, same model, same speech lines. Then he killed his doppelganger and walked away.

I was trying to get things like the wall lights and fans, etc to work for a while.

You need to place one of the switches on a wall of a house, then that seems to "power" the structure.

As in, I placed lights, the switch on the wall, connected the switch to a generator, then the lights on the walls of the house turned on.
I am unsure if the number of lights being able to be used from the one gen I had was power based or distance.
But that is how I got lights on the houses to work.

For the towers...I only used the draw people to your settlement tower...but make a generator, make a power, look at either, hit space to start the wire attaching, look at the other, hit space to complete the connection. Given you have enough power, it should work.

I try to toss a recruitment tower up first in every new settlement...get more peeps faster/sooner.
