I'm thinking of attending this convention this year. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Has anyone been to this convention or planning on attending this year?

They're going to have Nathan Fillion there too

I've been to the events there a couple of times (with BuffyGirl), it's not bad. There's been more people going than there was before so it can get a bit crowded in the main area. Make sure you have something you want to go there for, like a panel or autographs--there's not much else to do there than that. It doesn't take long to get through all the vendors.

I'd like to see Shatner and the Firefly group. I'll pass on Stan Lee. I saw him in Las Vegas when I lived there--most disappointing signing ever.

I'll see what the ticket prices are on Tuesday. At the very least I'll get weekend passes and cross my fingers autograph tickets for the people I want to see aren't ridiculous.

Yeah, Stan Lee was there before and it was kinda disappointing, it was just a line where they just shuffle you through as quick as possible. Looks like they've got the biggest Firefly group they've had which is pretty cool. Ticket prices I think for Saturday are like $30, the VIP tickets sell out fast---that's if you want to get through the autograph lines quickly and get closer seats during panels. Autographs are like $20-$40 for the regular ones, I can't remember how much the more expensive ones were. Last year there was also going to be a Q&A after the show with Nathan Fillion which had limited tickets--but he had to cancel the day before.

Went ahead and got tickets for the weekend when they went on sale today. Now I'm just waiting to see what the damage will be for the special tickets.

i have been going to these shows for a while but this is the first one under the new fan expo management so i'm not quite sure what to expect. the bigger venue is great news though...they outgrew the irving/las colinas center after 1 show there.

I linked the picture in the first post to the website. I'm just waiting for the information on the special tickets to be posted. I'm curious as to how much extra it's going to cost to see Nathan Fillion and William Shatner.

They've added more Firefly people, only missing Gina Torres and Summer Glau, I bet there will be a pretty great panel with all of them.

Firefly cast is the main reason I'm going. I'm happy to see they keep adding more cast members. Probably too much to hope for a full reunion but I'll take what I can get!

I don't think they've all been together since the movie ended--even at the look back special on the science channel they were missing a few people who couldn't be there.

i am hoping they add a few more media guests that aren't firefly related...as of right now the only media guest i am getting is rooker and that's for a friend of mine that can't make the show, lol

i definitely don't see this as a 3 day adventure

Nah, there's not enough to do in a day, unless you're getting a lot of autographs and don't have enough time in the day. I would imagine that if they had all the Firefly people you wouldn't have enough time to get through all the lines.

I have never been to a ComicCon might be cool to go to this.

I'm glad they're adding more people. Firefly crew is about the only reason I'm going. I just wish they would get the schedule and special ticket prices up.
