Re-shoots aren't uncommon or a a death sentence

Thor The Dark World in 2013 went back for re-shoots.

X-Men Days of Future Past, the highest rated Marvel movie of 2014, went back for re-shoots, in fact they had to rework a significant part of the movie with Rogue being cut in order to make the flow of the story work better and we all know the final result was fine.

Age of Ultron also went back for some re-shoots.

Here are the details from Simon Kinberg.

Simon Kinberg said:
The Fantastic Four will only be doing three-to-four addition days of shooting down in Louisiana, and that director Josh Trank is overseeing the whole thing. We have no idea what they will be working on, but apparently it will involve "key cast members."

Why all the secrecy though?

Embarrassment. :lecture

Not sure about secrecy but promotion is on schedule. Ant-Man got it's first trailer and poster six months before release and this is going to be getting it's first trailer and probably poster at the same rate.

When asked in interviews actors and writers have spoken about the movie though.

Even though it's expected these days studios are under no obligation to share plot info and such before promotion begins, but that's something that's far too prevalent these days, they feed too much info and show too much that when it comes time for the movie we know half of it already.

Batman v Superman isn't out until 2016 yet there's so much spoilers about that already.

We already know Black Panther will not only be in Civil War, another 2016 movie, but his entire role in the movie already.

Secrecy is a good to thing imo and a nice change of pace from knowing far too much

Putting all the new speculation and rumors aside, let's not forget. . .Doom is a disgruntled computer hacker who looks like Ragman in this movie.

I think their best bet for a trailer is to show no footage but instead just post the title of the movie and "From the same comic book company that created THE AVENGERS AND IRON MAN" and then just hope someone shows up on opening day.

It's amazing that every tiMe something new comes out about this movie, it sounds worse and worse. Sounds so bad.

"If you loved Iron Man and the Avengers, then you might think this movie is 'good.' Kate Mara, Miles Teller, Michael Jordan, Jamie Bell, and introducing Ragman as 'Domashev'---Fantastic Four, coming soon to a DTV outlet in your town!"

I give pturtle props for sticking around thru all the bashing.

Conveniently enough, Web-Slinger shows up once there is "good" news :lol :lol :lol

But hey, I'll be honest, I'll be open to view the trailer and I'll make me own mind up there, but it's a low expectation so it will probably blow me away :lol

The FF always have a soft spot for me. Everything though about this film that has come out has led me to believe it is going to suck big time. From various cast members saying they've never read a comic book to them saying it isn't really pulling from the comics in general to what we've seen and heard about from Doom. I'm not very hopeful and expecting to do this at the trailer:

but who knows. Maybe it'll wow. Probably not but still.

I love the FF, and think it's pretty short-sighted for people to say that the characters and stories aren't relevant anymore. Having said that, yeah. . .I'm not really optimistic. I'll try to view this with as open a mind as I can, but if you're going to **** on what the FF was, then even if the movie is good I probably won't be really thrilled. I can't critique Man of Steel on its own merits, because once they made the decision to crap on everything that made the character distinctive and special in my eyes, I couldn't stay on board. If they wanted to create their own, distinctive group of pseudo-FF, then fine, but that's not what they're doing.

I don't mean to open old wounds, but how did they crap on everything that made Superman distinctive?
