I kinda liked the first movie, I liked all the actors except for the Thing guy(he's like a giant potato).

Michael Chiklis? :lol

I thought he was the best of the original cast. He was pretty much played a perfect 616 Ben Grim. Evans, Alba, and that other guy were horrible though.

FF1 > MOS/TDKR

I'd rank them MOS>FF1>TDKR -- and yes I'm serious. TDKR was a complete piece of ****.

It would be much a much shorter post if you could go over the ways that it didn't. . .the characters kept the same names more or less, and he was an alien from a Krypton that blew up and had super powers. That's about it. Not that suicidal Pa, dildo ships, Kote. . .er, codex, decapitations, ill-timed and off-target "humor," sad *******, mass destructing, endangered civilian ignoring, enemy murdering, U.S. military threatening "Hopeman," and general dreariness and depression aren't fun in their own way.

Could not agree more if I tried. Apparently, Superman being concerned for the safety of the citizens of Metropolis was so 1970's. The 00's Superman doesn't give a good ******* because he's, you know, cool an all. And not hitting women, 1970's. And not murdering his foes, 1970's. And being concerned for the life of his step-father, 1970's. And being charming, funny & likeable, Oh, how very 1970's.

Yep, thank you, Zack Snyder for giving us a 'real world' Superman. Much appreciated.

I have no problem with WB going a darker superman route, it's just that, even if this was an original movie that wasn't based on comic book property, it's still a pretty bad movie all around and really hurt the Superman brand. I honestly believe if a sequel was made it would have made a lot less money and I think WB knew that too, which is why we're getting Batman in what should have been a Superman only film.

I like the part that's filmed in Ucluelet, BC, since my wife and I try to go there once a year, but otherwise the movie's ****. :lol

Yeah, Chiklis and Evans were perfectly cast. Dunno how anyone couldn't see that.
Alba was the worst. Age factor aside, I doubt she'd pull off decent enough Sue even if the script was perfect.
