Hmm. Looks alright would be better if it was blue though. Betting the finals costumes will be.

I hope you're right but I can see this going down the black and gritty path. Again though I'm still not brimming with confidence with what I'm seeing. Need that trailer STAT!!!

Love these quotes from Trank regarding releasing info long before the movie is even near release..

If I was painting a picture I wouldn’t want to take a picture of a single paint stroke. I’d rather show people what it looks like when it’s done.

I feel like I know everything about a movie these days before it comes out. That’s why I haven’t said anything on Twitter. I am not giving anything up. The last thing I tweeted before I closed out my last twitter account was, and I’m paraphrasing, “I really miss the days where I didn’t know anything about a movie before it came out other than a trailer in the theaters, some spots on TV and maybe some pictures in a magazine.” Because it made me so much more excited about the movie I was going to see.

Was a great interview. Unlike most others I find it refreshing not to know 70% of any given blockbuster months or even years before release.

Like TWS being a political thriller with superheroes and First Class being a bond-esque movie with super-beings it looks like this will be an old skool sci-fi in the vein of movies where the protagonists go through a mutation via a science experiment and deal with the change in their beings.

The Fly being an inspiration has me intrigued

David Cronenberg is one of my all-time very favorite filmmaker. But for ****'s sake, Fantastic Four is one of the very last franchises that should shoot for being like a Cronenberg movie, after Superman. Be nice if, instead of Fantastic Four, this was Planetary, and so you could make the FF this disturbing, gritty, ****ed up incarnation without ****ting on the source material. But alas.

You can tell the same story in different tones though. Just because it's shooting for real-world sci-fi rather than unrealistic sci-fi doesn't automatically make it a less accurate Fantastic Four story.

For example Batman & Robin was fairly accurate aside from Barbara Gordon but had a kooky campy tone. If it had a more realistic tone it would still have been as accurate just presented differently.

My thoughts exactly.

Archie, on the other hand....
