Didn't look as horrible as I thought it would. If Johnny is flamed on for most of the movie I can pretend he's not black. But Thing......he's nekkid.....ugh.

Everything looked incredible in my opinion, and like the Ant-Man trailer, this movie won't be as serious as the trailer is making it out to be, Kinberg said the tone was comparable to Raimi's Spider-Man films.

The visuals look amazing, and the trailer obviously held back from showing too much. Which is a good thing

I also don't know why people still think the dark superhero tone is the norm for the genre. Superman and Spider-Man tried it, Spider-Man got rid of it and tried to be more similar to the Marvel movies while BVS seems to have also dropped the super serious tone to embrace the spectacle of the comics.

The only other series that focuses on drama over action are the X-Men films, everything else is lighthearted action films. A variety in this genre is a good thing.

It's hacking time!

Is that Johnny Depp? What is that from?

Yeah, I think the general approach to the previous FF films was spot on. The problem there is that they were badly written and unfunny (and some of the casting was questionable). It's interesting that I can imagine the complete opposite here--films that totally miss the tone, but are well written and half-way decent.

The tone is perfect for the Ultimate Fantastic Four, which was the main inspiration for the movie.

Ugh, just realized that Reed Richards was in Divergent. I had free HBO for a weekend a couple weeks back and watched it. I thought he sucked in that movie.

He was also the lead in Whiplash, arguably the best movie of the year.

Im gonna get a lot of flack for this, but the trailer looked more entertaining and coherent than Age of Ultron [trailer]

Er, how does that mesh with taking Cronenberg films as their tonal inspiration?

Looked alright to me. It seems to be lacking some color and fun, but I don't think this looks like crap by any means. It was a good trailer even if I think the tone is a little too dark for Fantastic 4.

Also, are Sue and Johnny brother and sister? If so, how can that be? "He's blek?" He should have been the Thing if they're going for demographic/diversity appeal.

Wow... Just wow...

Didn't catch it at first, thought he was rubbish on a table
You weren't wrong.

It's not an "S"....:cuss

The trailer was underwhelming. It reeks of this thing taking itself too seriously, although I have to say this: My initial response is that it doesn't look bad, just not anything to get excited over. Feels like something out of HBO or AMC if that makes any sense.

Looks miscast.

Damn it. I have to agree with Eli. Miles doesn't channel Reed to me. Didn't see enough of the rest to even judge although I'm a little meh on Mara right now but Miles doesn't look like he'll hold.

Oh I see. Passed out from too much interweb f a p ping.

Lmao!!!! Some radioactive sea men shot onto his face which is why he has a mask. It's edgy and real.

Ah boy I really don't know what to think of this movie

Though it'll be a cgi mess this is at least interesting . . . if it hasn't already been posted.

Kinda wish they'd just go ahead with the big jawline if they're going this route.

Why is this going to be a CGI mess? Age Of Utron's CGi looked worse and it's closer to coming out than this is.

I didn't think the CGI in this was bad at all actually. I'm sure it'll still be tweaked but I didn't mind it

I'm not commenting on the quality. cgi mess as in there'll be way too much if it. :dunno However, thats pretty much everything anymore.

If any comic book screamed to be adapted as a dark, humorless Croenberg body-horror film it's The Fantastic Four. :lol
Parents, kids and mainstream audiences will stay away from this dour thing, and of course FF fans have already turned against it. Box Office poison.
