That new chick ain't no Jessica Alba.. just sayin' :lol

Yeah, she's actually a talented actress :lol

She is going to be an infinitely better Sue Storm than Alba ever was...

True. Even if this film ends up beloved like X-Men Days of Future Past and Ant-Man ends up a turd there'll be guranteed Ant-Man figures and nothing from this. :dunno

Sad how hot toys loves to tug mickeys jock so hard we get ant man over freakin magneto and dofp quicksilver and beast

:goodpost:

I don't think she's a very good actress either.... :ohbfrank:
She was very good in House of Cards. I'm actually not concerned with the ability of the actors they have brought on here, even if I don't think they picked the best kinds of actors for given roles. Acting ability does take precedent over the cosmetic stuff, IMO.

Kate Mara, that's her name isn't it? She's got that 60s Kirby vibe actually; I can see her with the classic blue & white outfit & the the cute little 60s go-go hair do.

I think Whiplash Boy has the look of a young Reed too.

I wish they would have set it in the 60's. One of my biggest complaints about this movie is that it already looks depressingly serious. I'd like a little more "fantastic" fun (without being as cheezy as the previous 2 films) and a little retro style could help that come out.

Actually I thought one of the best moments in House of Cards is when
Frank shoves the annoying ***** in front of that train
:lol

Thats just me though, I'm no fan of hers :dunno Maybe she will do a good job

I love Jessica Alba, but I love Kate Mara too. I would prefer Kate over Jessica in any role any day though.

Eh. Kate might be good in this but she has this vibe about her, this weird Holier than Thou vibe in a lot of her interviews that I can't shake. It's sort of the same as Kristen Stewart constantly channeling RBF. To me Sue is supposed to be welcoming and sweet, a motherly figure that Kate Mara doesn't have really but I"m willing to suspend judgment completely.

The merchandise is not controlled by Fox or Hot Toys. Those rights are still held by Marvel.

Marvel has decided they will not create merchandise to promote other studio films (with the Sony deal the next Spiderman might now be an exception)

Me too

do we know if Doom is going to be in this?

He's going to be a Scientist who goes to the N-Zone with the Four and is corrupted by the power there. When he returns he's likely disfigured and as seen in the leaked pics and trailer he escapes whatever facility he's in, wearing his melted N-Zone suit and has a fight with Johnny

I'm hoping whoever had that quote was lying about that cause that just sounds dumb. I would guess everything from the head down on Doom will be CGI....

he's in a medical bay in the trailer wearing that melted costume and escapes to presumably change into something else. Highly doubt that'll be his only look

The blogger thing is probably just his hobby and not his profession. Afterall why would a blogger be in an expermiment to another dimension?

It came from the actor himself who is playing Doom :lol

He is a programmer, working in theory with the group in that capacity. He is an anti-social blogger (as you predicted) who goes by the handle "Doom" and that is how the name is inserted. The Von Doom thing is gone but he is still Victor

Wow so some of the greatest characters of all time woont get respectable figures due to greed and deals made yrs ago. Sad this happened. Thank godness for sideshow who seem to be working on comic xmen but still its a huge loss that we probably will never see great xmen figures beside huge wolvie again.

Well actually Sony made a deal with Marvel with the ASM movies in that Marvel allow companies to produce toys for the movies and Sony doesn't get any money out of it but get free publicity. Fox wanted all profits to itself.
