The brow is not even close to the dealbreaker for me on this mess.
It was a mistake to treat this property so seriously to begin with. Doomed from the start.

But Thing does look better with the brow.

I totally prefer a more classic look. But since this is going for a more realistic take - for better or worse - I like what they've come up with as a "realistic" Thing. The brow, IMO, has always been a very caricature-type element and I think would make the cgi look cartoony. I also like the asymmetrical look of his body - one shoulder looks bigger than the other.

I've been pretty clear about my preference for a lighter tone but if they are going for Teh Gritty I'm glad they are at following through with it.

Yeah, I'm with YoNo. Just like with WB, I hope they go totally balls out with the "dark and gritty" approach. If they're gonna do something that isn't appropriate for the comics, then at least go all out and do the best you can at what you set out to do. Make this story "grimm" as ****!

The Thing is the only aspect of the trailer that i thought looked cool but now with the better look i really dislike how the face looks. Just not working for me.

The thing is, dark as **** can totally work for DC, yet it's maybe not ideal for the FF, but since I don't give 2 flying ****s about them, never have, I really don't care for the approach as long as it's good, but that has nothing to do with having a good looking Thing design

I agree. If you're going to fail, fail GLORIOUSLY. Which is why I'm genuinely looking forward to Terminator Genisys.

Yeah, usually movies like this typically don't generate a lot of "wow, you guys were right, it sucked." But if it's good we'll definitely all enjoy it.

Right. I am obviously very dubious about what we're likely to get, but if it's good I'll be glad to say so because I prefer to have more things I like than things I don't.
If I have too much pride to admit I was wrong about something as unimportant as a comic movie, there's a lot more wrong with me than even I know.

If this movie sucks, I'll have no problem admitting it, but i have enough confidence in this to make the prediction that F4and Mad Max will be the best summer blockbusters of the year.
