This movie makes for a very interesting experiment.

It can still be great.

But I feel sorry for them if it sucks because everyone will be throwing their ********* lectures back into their faces.

I doubt it will make JW money but it can still beat out Ant-Man.

They are definately trying hard to sell it as the intellectual superhero movie of the year.

They are definately trying hard to sell it as the intellectual superhero movie of the year.

That's the problem with science fiction movies nowadays. They think that if they throw some scienc-y mumbo jumbo in there, that are completely wrong, have no base to reality and/or are extremely far fetched and just "sound smart" then that makes the movie "intellectual" *coughInterstellarcough*. The moment you have a 10 year old crack interdimensional travel in his garage, is the moment that a space bunny calling itself Captain Carrot is just as likely. This "we're too smart for the GA" thing is getting really, really tiresome...

Funny thing is, Intestellar was a popcorn 2001 :lol I don't think it was trying to be intellectual more than it was sentimental, it spoonfed everything to the audience just like most summer movies do, and the audience still complained about things they didn't get :lol

Yeah but it's still good and quite trippy for an "audience-friendly" movie about higher dimensions and the event horizon.

It's more educational than it is intellectual, I think.

With the budget quite low, in response to the mediocre grosses of the last two, I think it won't flop but I can't see it doing great unless WOM is great.

Hopefully the movie rocks and if so those attached can rub it in the faces of those against it from the start

I'd LOVE to see this do great. I wish the marketing was a bit stronger. I can see this flying beneath people's radars.

Will not do as well as Ant Man..and AM appears to be Marvel's biggest "flop" since IM started the modern MCU era..

:lol :lol :lol

you ever catch that old episode of 'In Living Color' when Keenan Ivory Wyans played Tyson as host of his own talk show?

His guest was a parrot or some bird like that, & it was cursing at him, so he tried to knock it out. :lol

Interstellar was trying to be a mix between 2001: The 2014 Redux Edition and a dad/daughter type of movie. Sadly, it both failed to successfully "marry" these two genres and created a whole lot of uneducated c*nts who think that they're the next Bohrs. Thorne's theories were correct and it's great that they got him to help, but the movie suffered not only from scientific inaccuracies but plot holes as well. Interstellar, in my opinion at least, was a boring, 3-hour snorefest with great visuals that tried to be this generation's 2001 but unltimately failed. From what I remember, 2010: The year we made cntact was much better...
