Fantastic Four needs altering to fit the screen. It's a dated comic. Marvel have struggled to make Fantastic Four relevant in the modern world.

People like to think that because they started it all at Marvel that they're awesome and an A-list property but there hasn't been a notably popular Fantastic Four story arc in decades.

While I'll admit I'm not too excited for this (I hated Ultimate Fantastic four), I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt as a stand alone movie. I still think that marvel studios would be able to pull off a FF movie. The past failures are on the writers/director/actors, not on the subject matter. If they can make good movie out of Guardians of the galaxy, they can do the same for the FF.

Oh, and hey, here are some great FF runs from past and recent years:

Some critics will be able to watch the film this Wednesday, but won't be able to post their reviews until some time on Thursday. Still, not a good sign.

Doesn't matter- it will bomb at the box office...might have a respectable opening weekend and then plumet off the charts

It's its receieved favourably that will help the Box Office, it doesn't have to do big numbers to be a success..

I reckon this could be similiar to Rise of The Planet of The Apes & XFC as both of those were expected to be bad but both turned out good and the sequels even better.

naaah. its gonna bunk with PIXELS.

Hobbot movies were crap, but this one has some potential.
I think I'll see it, beats sitting at home waiting for customers. :lol

The Deadpool gimmick was funny but I'm not sure there is a franchise or film out there that would make me go see a movie I had no interest in just to see a trailer, especially since it'll be everywhere on the net?

People were going out of their way to see the Batman/Superman trailer in Imax, but I was in the same boat about that--a movie, sometimes I'll pay to see at the theaters for the theatrical experience. But a trailer? Nah. Maybe when I was 19 and the Phantom Menace trailer came out, but that was a long time ago, both in terms of my own age and in terms of all the geeky **** that gets thrown at audiences every year.

I remember when the phantom menace came out people were go to the movies just for the trailer. It was nuts. I'm a comic book fan and am interested to see how this new cast does as the FF and to see how the story is. I may get a chance to see it theaters. If not there is always cable and bluray.which comes out cheaper.

As I recall, people were actually waiting in long lines just to see the movie with the Phantom Menace trailer. But I'm not even sure if they put that on the internet back then.
