Why does everything need a fing origin story????????

Why does every reboot need to tell an origin?

What happened to movies just having a set group dealing with something

Probably because studios want to introduce franchises/characters to people who are not avid comic-book readers or knowledgeable aficionados.

I find it funny people hated on the '05 film as much as they did. While not a great movie, it was tonally pretty faithful to the early Kirby and Lee comics. Even with the watered down Dr. Doom, if that EXACT film was released today by Marvel Studios (maybe with a different Torch,) the fanboys would eat it up.

Yeah but look at batman.. Burton didn't need to make a long and boring introduction
And people were even less familiar with comics back then.

I'll never understand why studios waste time on this

That's a good point about the 89 film, it doesn't give you an origin at all... just a few scenes that show where he came from and how he's been tied in with Joker since his parents' death.

You gotta remember too, he didn't become Batman overnight... it was over a decade in the making.

"An outstretched, moronic, drama-less time-suck that somehow manages to be less fun than Pixels, which was only slightly more enjoyable than slamming a door on your face." :lol

Even the Spiderman intro in the first movie was kind of short.

.... Even the punisher intro was not that long
