Did you read a different quote than what Nam read. :lol

He didn't write or direct this like he did with 1st class and Kick ***, so I really don't get your point. All that shows is him giving info on whats going on, I guess I missed the part where he said, "I told them not to have Mr. Fantastic stretch LOLZ"

He tends to do good casting and stay pretty faithful to source material and make pretty damn good CBMs, so yeah, I'm pretty sure I'll stick to preferring him in the director's chair.

No more Chris Evan I suppose? Can't see him in a TMNT, Cap A, FF.... Stick with one

Producer Vaughn

It's a total reboot, that's for sure," he told the publication. "It's got nothing to do with the other bloody ones. It's not stretchy guy and a guy running around in rock that looks like it's made polystyrene. And its not a comedy."

Sure, let's trash the only good parts of those previous attempts.

So now Reed Richards doesn't stretch?! :cuckoo:
Not only that, apparently Thing doesn't have a rocky look. I'm really confused about that comment. But I guess the next logical move after giving the X-Men all black leather suits was to take away the super powers angle altogether. It's just not "gritty and believable" enough. These will just be regular government agents working to take down some terrorist spy ring or something, and they will just so happen to share the names and some other superficial personality characteristics with the comic FF.

If that quote is legit - then somebody needs to execute an intervention STAT!!!!!!! :gah:

I bought deluxe editions of the first two films, & now I'm going to cherish them even more. :lol

They can stick this kahkah back up their *SS. :lecture

I think the polystyrene comment was merely a reference to the costume from the previous movies. I also think the "stretchy guy" comment was about not using his powers for sight gags. Whatever else may be wrong with this movie, I can guarantee you Mr Fantastic will stretch and Thing will be made of rock. Nobody is going to get it that wrong.

Really? Johnny's changed ethnicity and Doom has changed sex. Based on that, I don't think that's out of the realm of possibility. :lol

Torch's change of color isn't as a big of a deal as people like to make of it. Now, if he didn't flame on, then you'd have a problem. Has the female Doom thing actually been proven or is that still just a rumor?

To you. There's no logical reason for it other than exploiting the change in a poor (and racist) attempt at garnering cash from a specific demographic. Once the public so wantonly accepts that - because if they don't, they're "racist," hey, why not change the rest?

It's a huge deal. The character has worked fine for what? 40 years? His success had nothing to do with him being a black woman or an old asian man. Taking what worked and changing it soley because you don't feel you have enough of a draw for black people is the real racism. And we know that's exactly whats happened because Sue is still white.

This is the first step. Next it won't matter what planet Superman comes from as long as it isn't Earth, and before you know it Bella Wayne's parents will be gunned down on the way back from buying lottery tickets in the ATL inspiring her to murder criminals with a baseball bat as BatGirl.

You can't blame them for wanting to appeal to other demographics. Every major superhero is white because they were all created at a time when blacks still had to drink from separate fountains. We've already had the classic comic book Torch portrayed pretty well by Chris Evans, let 'em try something new. If it bugs you, there's always Avengers 2. No shortage of honkeys there. :wink1:
