Fantastic Four reboot

Somebody at Fox needs to sit down the board of directors and major shareholders and have them watch the Corman produced FF. THAT is what happens when you try and crap something out to hang onto the rights. As Brady Hawkes would say, "know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away, know when to run..." If they half@$$ it they MAY get a decent return on thier money once, but they wont be building a franchise.

That's a bit misleading though. That film was never released, and was shot and canned for the sole purpose of maintaining the rights.

The end result may differ, but the motive seems to be the same. The Corman FF was fairly ridiculous but you could tell the creative talent involved had some degree of reverence and respect for the source material. Not seeing that in the current Fox project.

Disney should just send their attorneys over to Fox.

Fox can try to throw a movie together, throw ~150m dollars at it and wind up with a warm turd. They were going down that road anyway. Fox would be lucky to get their money back.

OR... They just sell it to Disney. Marvel could gamble on rights reverting but it would be smarter to buy it back for pennies on the dollar. At this point a reasonable offer from Marvel Studios puts FF back home where it belongs. Ready to cross over with The Avengers. It's a gold mine for Disney and they should move now rather than let Fox damage they property any further.

It seems so odd that there may be 2 Marvel Movie Universes, 3 if you count what Sony is planning with Spider-Man, and yet they are all seperate from each other

Kind of a shame that the core Marvel characters can't be on the big screen together considering now if the golden opportunity for it

That's where DC/Warner are lucky, and they don't even seem to really realise it. They have all of their characters to themselves. Oh well

You don't even need a plot or character development. You can just CGI a bunch of flashy colors passing by really quick for 57 minutes and call it a fight scene. Biggest opening weekend ever true story. Invented 6 new ways of putting a copy of the movie on the DVD so you can transfer it right into your friend's urine and watch it while he pisses.
