Can't argue with that, Rocky IV had an awesome soundtrack.

I went with ROCKY simply because it's the original, but they are all great films (yes, even the fifth one). The only one I saw in the theater was Rocky Balboa, and me and my dad went like 3 times. I get chills every time when Rocky says at the end "Yo Adrian, we did it, we did it....."

Rocky III

Damn, these movies were on sale during boxing week for 5$ on Blu-Ray..only scored Rocky III and missed out on the cheap Rocky Collection on Blu as well.

Rocky III because Clubber Lang was a better villain then Drago since Drago was just some Russian pawn/experiment, plus Rocky finally learned how to box in part III via Apollo Creed. :p

I love the first two and really dig Clubber Lang and Ivan Drago. Some of that **** was starting to get a little weird towards the end, but I still enjoyed them.

I'm one of those people that never realized there was a fifth one. I don't know if I put it out of my head or what, but when Rocky Balboa came out, I thought that was the 5th. I've never seen the last two. :lol

Tied at 2 and Balboa for me. 2 shows he can be the champ and not just go toe-to-toe with him and Balboa showed that despite losing everything else he hadn't lost "it" and also showed how pathetic boxing is today.

Not physically, no. But he has the exact same I can't do it/I can do it thing going on in the second act.

In IV? That happened in III, correct. But that never happened in Rocky IV. He was ready to train and beat Dragos *** the second Apollo was killed.

"Maybe the only thing I can do is just take everything he's got. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that." -Rocky Balboa (Rocky IV)

Technically he did. Watch the beginning of part V to see what I mean.

Im one of those fans like Difabio, I tend to ignore V even happened. It's terrible, Stallone himself has even stated how much he hates it. :lol Rocky Balboa is the real part V.

Into the fray, eh Voorhees?

4 and 5 are the worst...I cant see how anyone would vote for em...

1 is the best.
2 is right up there.
3 and 4 are good, but not great.
5 no one recognizes.
And 6 is a nice sendoff to the character.

Agreed...although 3 to me was alot better than 4...6 was a fantastic surprise well done just like Rambo 4 was to end 2 Stallone film series...I saw all of them in the theater...The first Rocky was just incredible...people loved it so much when it came out

I voted Rocky Balboa. Rocky is a classic film and a great movie, but for me, Rocky Balboa took everything Sly got right with Rocky, and the awesome fight elements of 3 and 4 and combined them all with his aged wisdom into one super movie full of a lot of heart, a lot of character development and growth, paid off with an amazing fight.

I love the whole series, but you could also easily make a trilogy out of 1, 2 and 6, they all tie together, 3-5 really have little bearing on where things end up in 6, you could have 6 start off where it does without seeing the events of 5.

Out of the whole series, my favorite action fight is Rocky 4, but my favorite emotional fight is a tie between 2 and 6, I just feel like Sly really hit his stride with those two fights and how to not only entertain you with the punches but draw you in with the struggles Rocky goes through internally and externally. I love in the Rocky Balboa fight when he almost gets knocked out then gets back up and waves his gloves at Dixon like "bring it" and then just goes off on him.

What I love most about the Rocky character is what he stands for, how he's a symbol for when life metaphorically or literally kicks your ***, you have to get up and keep fighting for what you're after.

And I don't care if it's cliche, my absolute most favorite moment in the whole series is "Yo Adrian, I did it!" To this day I still cry every time he gives that speech at the end of 2. Say what you want about Stallone's acting/writing/directing, the man knows how to get you invested in a character and tug at the heart strings, and this moment personifies that most of all for me.

While Rambo is my absolute favoirte character of all, Rocky is my biggest inspiration in life, and I'm so grateful to Sly for creating the character and take him to all the places he did.
