^ This is exactly why Lucas killed him off. He didn't want him to rival Vader's popularity. (read in an interview)

(If Maul woulda been in all 3 movies and Anakin had killed him instead on the way to the darkside, it woulda been much more interesting and cool. And gave Maul's character some depth.

It was hard to choose between Vader and Yoda, but Vader was my choice.

(If Maul woulda been in all 3 movies and Anakin had killed him instead on the way to the darkside, it woulda been much more interesting and cool. And gave Maul's character some depth.

I don't think there is much depth to a character like Maul. He was a thug, and went out like one.

A change I would have liked to see is Ventress playing the role of Grievous in ROTS. The film would have potentially been better than ESB.

That's because he was played by martial artist Ray Park. He's the only actor playing a major character in the Star wars universe who actually knows how to fight for real. I'm sure he can fight even better in real life than in the movie. He had to slow it down and tone it down I'm sure to play the role. As for the rest of the actors, they were both trying to look even close to what he could do. No contest, Ray Park could kick all their butts.
