Not sure if serious.

Well i'm pretty serious. I would say the LOTR Movies (albeit 3) Were the best movies made in the 2000's. And won a shyytton of awards. These will be two Movies, and i'm positive awards are in the bag. Only question is, will there be any movies to rival them in the remaining decade?

All this is subjective, if you don't think the LOTR movies were the best outta the bunch in the 2000's none of this applies to you.

I feel asleep during the hobbit trailer. A few small dwarfs with beards singing a depressing song in a hobbits house isn't my idea of an exciting trailer. I'm sure the movie will be good but how anyone could say with absolute certainty that it will be better than either Avengers or DKR is beyond me. I'll wait until I've seen the movie before putting my neck on the block.

Epic failure "King Kong". Nothing is guaranteed.

I've got not problem putting my neck on the block at all on anything I've said about the trailer or the film. :peace

I don't even know who you are anymore.

MAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNN!

I don't like to toot my own horn(like a lot of others here) but, it's cause i'm smart.

Maaaaaaannnn!

Avengers was a great comic book movie. The Dark Knight Rises was a great movie that just happened to be based on a comic book. I think there is a difference.

Amazing Spider-man wasn't even the best Spider-man movie.

I thought The Avengers was the best comic-book movie I've seen and a fantastic movie all around. I thought TDKR was a solid comic-book movie and a solid movie as a whole, but not even the best movie in this series.

Spidey was good on par at worst with Spider Man 1.

Agree with all of the above.

TDKR need not be the best in the Dark Knight Trilogy to surpass Avengers.

Avengers was great. Possibly the best pure comic book movie ever made. Nolan's trilogy is just a cut above comic book movies -- it takes comic book content outside of a comic book movie. Kinda the same way Miller's Dark Knight Returns was a cut above a standard comic book. Better actors (you can't seriously tell me you think Hemsworth, Evans, Ruffalo and RDJ are near the talent of Bale, Caine, Oldman, Hardy, etc.). Better writing. More depth. Perhaps it takes itself too seriously ... but there is just more there to take too seriously.

There is a reason people are saying that if TDKR doesn't win an Oscar, no comic book movie will. I don't think anyone said that about Avengers.

Agreed on ASM. Not even a close call.

Ooooooooooooh, that makes all the difference. Then we'll just ignore the fact that he's been fanboygasming for TDKR since before it was announced and drama queening every negative comment about it. :lol

Well, thats different, but just because I have the Killer as my Avatar, its not like I'm going to favor Wanted as it came out in movie form in a discussion. Just trying to give the benefit of the doubt. Sometimes big fans are the biggest critics. I know thats true in my case. Maybe thats what seperates a fan from a fanboy? :rotfl

"My movie is better than your movie" :chase :medic
