Amazing Spiderman is no good.

Avengers is awesome if I were 13, as I'm not it was just decent

The Dark Knight Rises is really good but better in the context of the entire trilogy.

Easy winner = The Dark Knight Rises

I've only seen Avengers out of these three..and I'd rate it a 7 or 7.5/10.
I agree that it was a "better transformers", but I also think they did an amazing job with all of the characters. They each had the perfect amount of screen time and the interaction between them was great.

Going to see TDKR in a week, but if it's as boring and pretentious as the previous two, trying to trick you into thinking it's a genius work of art, then I probably won't like it.

And from what i've read about The Amazing Spiderman, it seems that the people who loved it are mostly those who have an irrational hatred for the original movies. Which I loved. so...

Honestly I'm going to stay out of this thread, it's only going to breed stupidity because of the poll.

I'd rather simply see a Top 10 Comic book list breakdown from everyone now that we have some new entries to the genre.

^ It's a 'Best superhero movie' thread. And TDKR isn't really a superhero flick.

And Spider-Man was meh. So Avengers wins.

Now, if you said best film of the year....well...then this flick would take the cake. So far.

Avengers gets my vote. I walked out of the theater ready to see it again, and did the next day. And again the day after that. So many moments of humor and action and the audience erupted in laughter and cheers throughout, leaving completely entertained.

TDKR was good, but not remarkable. It was only twenty minutes longer than Avengers but it felt like more. Kind of grim and somber, which is to be expected. But unlike BB and TDK, it was just joyless and strangely empty of the kind of big moments that make you jump out of your seat and cheer. The film got almost no reaction from the crowd. It was OK, but I'd say it was my least favorite of the three Nolan Batman films.

I'm not ultimately too interested in comparing Avengers and TDKR, as they are two different movies with different styles. But in terms of pure entertainment and a moviegoing experience that leaves you ready to see it again, Avengers is the winner. I saw that three times in one weekend. I really don't want to sit through TDKR again in theaters. I don't see it getting the repeat business that Avengers did. We're voting for favorite, not the best. So I'll just say that Avengers was more entertaining and enjoyable and is my favorite of the two for now.

I loved Avengers as it made me feel like a kid again watching my favorite heroes on the tv in the early hours of the morning before school. I loved Rises as a adult, the story was great and it was a fitting end to the trilogy. Amazing Spider-man was decent but not a standout out film.

Avengers overall for me for pure nostalgia and fun. Hulk was the difference for me, he was so perfect in Avengers it's become my favorite movie to date.

I enjoyed all three very much and they all have elements which were better than the other two. Ultimately it came down to which character i had the bigger emotional connection too so my vote goes to ASM but just slightly. It's been a great year for comic book movies.
